Ana Popovic é uma guitarrista Yugoslava nascida em Belgrado. Desde pequena ouvia seu pai, guitarrista de blues, tocando com os amigos em casa, até que aos 15 anos decidiu tocar a guitarra do pai pela primeira vez. Em poucos anos seu pai já havia ensinado tudo o que sabia e decidira então que Ana deveria ter aulas particulares com outro professor. Seu progresso foi rápido pois Ana tinha um talento natural para a música. Depois de entrar na faculdade de design gráfico, Ana montara sua primeira banda com amigos, o Hush. Em menos de 3 anos eles já haviam tocado em todos os grandes clubes do país, fazendo mais de 100 shows por ano e até aparecendo algumas vezes na tv. Em 1998, com o Hush, Ana gravou seu primeiro álbum, Hometown. Em 1999, já fazendo muito sucesso nos países baixos e em sua cidade natal, Belgrado, Ana assina seu primeiro contrato com a gravadora alemã Ruf Records. Em 2000, Ana grava o álbum Hush e começa a tocar com diversos músicos do blues mundial, participando, como convidada especial, inclusive, de shows em tributo à Jimi Hendrix. Since childhood he heard his father , blues guitarist , playing with friends at home until age 15 decided to play the guitar the first time parent . In a few years his father had already taught everything he knew and decided then that Anna should have private lessons with another teacher . His progress was rapid because Ana had a natural talent for music . After entering college for graphic design , Ana had assembled his first band with friends , hush . In less than three years they had played in all the big clubs in the country doing over 100 shows a year and sometimes even appearing on TV . In 1998 , with the Hush , Ana recorded her first album , Hometown . In 1999 , already doing very well in the Low Countries and in his hometown of Belgrade Ana signs its first contract with the German label Ruf Records . In 2000 , Ana Hush Records album and starts playing with various musicians in the blues world , participating as special guests , including shows in tribute to Jimi Hendrix .
