Bonerama foi formada em 1998 pelos trompetistas Mark Mullins e Craig Klein, que, a partir de 1990 até o final de 2006, também eram membros de big band Harry Connick Jr.'s. Pouco tempo depois, eles adicionaram trombonistas Steve Suter, Brian O'Neill, e Rick Trolsen, saxofonista Charlie Kruger, o guitarrista Bert Cotton e o baterista Eric Bolivar. De New Orleans o baterista Russell Batiste, Stanton Moore, Doug Belote, Chad Gilmore, Terence Higgins, e Kevin O'Day também foram tocar com Bonerama por períodos de tempo. Mais tarde, o saxofonista Matt Perrine substituiu Charlie Kruger. O trombonista Brian O'Neill teve um ataque cardíaco e morreu durante um show solo de piano em Nova Orleans, em dezembro de 2005. Bonerama lançou seu primeiro álbum em 2001, com críticas positivas da revista OffBeat, Gambit Weekly, e The Times Picayune. Em 5 de fevereiro, eles lançaram um EP em conjunto com OK Go, intitulado You Are Not Alone (Você não está sozinho), para arrecadar dinheiro para os músicos de Nova Orleans ainda desabrigados pelo furacão Katrina em 2005. Após a saída de Rick Trolsen e Steve Suter no início de 2009, o trombonista Greg Hicks se juntou à banda. On February 5, they released an EP in conjunction with OK Go, titled You Are Not Alone (You are not alone), to raise money for the musicians of New Orleans yet displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. After the departure of Rick Trolsen and Steve Suter in early 2009, trombonist Greg Hicks joined the band. Bonde da Stronda (ou BDS) é uma dupla musical de hip-hop formado no ano de 2006 na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, pelos MC’s cariocas Mr. Thug e Léo Stronda. Antigamente o grupo era formado também pelos MC’s Cot e Night. Suas letras falam da realidade do seu dia-a-dia tendo assuntos como preconceito, mulheres, noitadas, bebidas, namoro, amor e sexo. O nome do grupo “Stronda” tem como significado um estilo de vida, seria a pessoa que sai para curtir a vida e se divertir, a pessoa que vai strondar. Entre alguns dos maiores sucessos do grupo estão: Nossa Química, Tic Tic Nervoso, XXT, Mansão Thug Stronda, Playsson Raiz, Esbórnia e Álcool, entre vários outros. O grupo surgiu no dia 5 de novembro de 2006, sendo formado por Mr. Thug (Diego Villanueva), Léo Stronda (Leonardo Schulz), MC Cot (Marcus Vinicius) e MC Night (Patrick Lopes). Tudo começou quando Léo resolveu mostrar para Thug a letra de uma música que ele tinha composto em casa chamada “Vida de Playsson” e o chamou para gravar apenas para mostrar para os amigos. Como não tinham nenhuma experiencia ainda no ramo musical, eles começaram com gravações caseiras e usando bases de outras músicas internacionais. Logo com o lançamento independente das canções na internet, ficaram reconhecidos pela mídia e se popularizaram entre os jovens com suas músicas politicamente incorretas e com um estilo próprio. Tram Stronda (or BDS ) is a musical duo of hip- hop formed in 2006 in the city of Rio de Janeiro , Brazil , Rio by MC's and Mr. Thug Léo Stronda . Previously the group was also formed by the MC 's Cot and Night . His lyrics speak of the reality of their day- to-day affairs as having prejudice, women , partying , booze, dating , love and sex . The group name " Stronda " signifying a lifestyle, would be the person who comes out to enjoy life and have fun , the person who will strondar . Among some of the group's biggest hits are : Our Chemistry , Nervous Tic Tic , XTT , Thug Mansion Stronda , Playsson Root, and binge alcohol among several others . The group came into being on November 5, 2006 , being formed by Mr. Thug ( Diego Villanueva ) , Léo Stronda ( Leonardo Schulz ) , MC Cot ( Marcus Vinicius ) and MC Night ( Patrick Lopes ) . It all started when Leo decided to show Thug lyrics for a song he had composed at home called " Life Playsson " and called him to record only to show to friends.
