Oasis foi uma banda de rock de Manchester, Inglaterra. O grupo começou em 1991 mas apenas surgiu no cenário mundial em 1994 como "marca" do tradicional rock britânico, que estava em baixa graças ao surgimento de outras correntes musicais, como o grunge norte-americano. O primeiro álbum de Oasis, "Definitely Maybe", foi lançado em 1994 e é o terceiro álbum de estreia que mais rapidamente vendeu na história do Reino Unido, atrás do primeiro disco dos Arctic Monkeys, "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" (2006) e do disco da cantora pop/R&B Leona Lewis, "Spirit" (2007), que encabeça a lista.
