Filho de médico, estudou no Colégio Marista do Recife. Aos 12 anos ingressou na Escola de Belas Artes do Recife. Foi aluno do violinista catalão Luís Soler e estudou canto lírico com Arlinda Rocha. Começou sua carreira tocando em orquestras no Recife, e integrou o Quinteto Armorial na década de 1970. Nóbrega toca canções tradicionais pernambucanas, com violino e rabeca. Em 1971 Ariano Suassuna procurava um violinista para formar o Quinteto Armorial e, após ver Antônio Nóbrega tocando um concerto de Bach, lhe fez o convite que mudaria completamente sua carreira musical. Antônio Nóbrega, que até essa ocasião tinha pouco conhecimento da cultura popular, passou a manter contato intenso com todas suas expressões como os brincantes de caboclinho, de cavalo-marinho e tantos outros, que passou a conhecer e pesquisar. Como contraponto à sua formação erudita, Antonio Nóbrega participava de um conjunto de música popular com suas irmãs. “Só que a música popular que eu compunha e tocava era a das rádios e da televisão: Beatles, Jovem Guarda, a nascente mpb, Caetano Veloso, Edu Lobo” Nóbrega também é um pesquisador da cultura popular brasileira na forma de músicas e danças. Aos 16 anos de idade postou vídeos seus na internet cantando e dançando, e foi descoberta por DJs da equipe de som Furacão 2000. Sua primeira música de trabalho, “Eu vou ficar” (Batutinha), ficou entre as mais pedidas das rádios FMs, que tocam funk, no Rio de Janeiro, em 2010. Avenged Sevenfold é uma banda norte-americana de metal formada em Huntington Beach, Califórnia em 1999. Alcançaram grande reconhecimento com o lançamento do álbum City of Evil em 2005, na qual incluia singles como Burn It Down, Bat Country, Beast And The Harlot e Seize The Day. O sucesso continuou com Avenged Sevenfold, de 2007, com os singles Critical Acclaim, Almost Easy, Afterlife, Scream e Dear God. Surgiram com um som metalcore em seus dois primeiros álbuns, mas mais tarde mudaram seu estilo para uma sonoridade mais hard rock com o lançamento de City of Evil. No final de 2009 a morte do baterista e membro fundador da banda, Jimmy “The Reverend” Sullivan foi anunciada. A banda foi formada por M. Shadows e Zacky Vengeance. Eles eram amigos e estudavam na mesma escola e suas bandas anteriores, Successful Failure e Mad Porno Action respectivamente não tinha dado certo.
