A banda Cólera é um dos primeiros grupos de punk rock brasileiros, formada em 1979 em São Paulo pelos irmãos Redson (Edson Lopes Pozzi, guitarra e vocais) e Pierre (Carlos Lopes Pozzi, bateria) e Helinho, vendo a ser substituído pelo amigo Val (Valdemir Pinheiro), novamente substituído depois por Josué Correia e mais tarde por Fabio Bossi, baixo). Participou da coletânea inaugural do movimento, Grito Suburbano (1982) e desde cedo se destacou pela postura pacifista, antimilitarista e ecológica. Duas coletâneas depois – Sub e O Começo do Fim do Mundo (ao vivo), ambas de 1983 – e chegariam ao seu primeiro LP, Tente Mudar o Amanhã (1985). Seu segundo LP, Pela Paz em Todo o Mundo (1986), tornou-se um clássico do punk rock brasileiro (com destaque para a faixa-título e “Medo”) e um recordista de vendas em se tratando de um produção independente: 85 mil cópias. Em 1987, o Cólera se tornou a primeira banda de punk rock do país a excursionar pela Europa, num circuito alternativo, só de punks. Em 1989, gravações desses shows viraram disco ao vivo (no mesmo ano, a banda também lançaria o LP Verde, Não Devaste). O Cólera seguiu na ativa nos anos 90, lançando os discos Mundo Mecânico, Mundo Eletrônico (1992) e Caos Mental Geral (1997). Em 2000, a banda ficaria em evidência uma vez que a Plebe Rude regravou “Medo” em seu disco ao vivo e os Inocentes, Quanto Vale a Liberdade em O Barulho dos Inocentes.O Cólera continua atuando no underground, sendo considerada a banda de maior energia quando sobe ao palco. Attended the inaugural compilation of the movement, Suburban Cry (1982) and early stood by the pacifist, anti-militarist and ecological stance. Two collections then - Sub and The Beginning of the End of the World (live), both from 1983 - and arrive at their first LP, Try Change Tomorrow (1985). Her second LP for Peace Around the World (1986), became a classic of Brazilian punk rock (especially the title track and "Afraid") and a record-breaking sales in the case of an independent production 85 thousand copies. In 1987, Cholera became the first punk rock band in the country to tour Europe, an alternative circuit, just punks. In 1989, recordings of these shows have become live album (the same year, the band will launch the Green LP, No Tale). The Cholera continued active in the 90s, launching the World Mechanical, Electronic World (1992) Mental and General Chaos (1997) albums. In 2000, the band would be in evidence since Plebe Rude rerecorded "Fear" on his live album and Innocent, As Freedom Valley in The Noise of Inocentes.O Cholera continues to operate in underground and is considered the greatest band energy when it hits the stage.
