Anna Maria Buarque de Hollanda é uma cantora e compositora brasileira, mas que se notabilizou sobretudo por trabalhos burocráticos na Funarte. Foi Ministra da Cultura do Governo Dilma entre janeiro de 20111 e setembro de 2012. Em 1968, participou do III Festival Internacional da Canção, interpretando o frevo "Dança das Rosas". Em 1980, gravou o primeiro disco solo: "Ana de Hollanda", pelo selo Eldorado. Ana participava das reuniões do bar Riviera, no centro de São Paulo, ponto de encontro de artistas e intelectuais. Foi nesta época que entrou para o Partido Comunista Brasileiro. De 1983 a 1985, Ana de Hollanda chefiou o setor musical do Centro Cultural São Paulo. Entre 1986 e 1988 foi secretária de Cultura do município de Osasco, na gestão de Humberto Parro (PMDB). Fez shows por todo o Brasil e também no Uruguai, em Angola e em Cuba, sempre com repertório da MPB. De 2003 a 2007, dirigiu o Centro de Música da Funarte, durante a gestão do ator Antonio Grassi. Coordenou a Câmara Setorial de Cultura, reunindo representantes dos fóruns estaduais de música, entidades representativas da sociedade civil e setores do Poder Executivo. Segundo Grassi, todos os novos projetos musicais da Fundação, bem como o renascimento do Projeto Pixinguinha, foram de responsabildade de Ana. Ana atuou como vocalista em discos de Toquinho, Vinicius de Moraes, Fafá de Belém e Tom Jobim. Trabalhou como atriz no espetáculo "Nunca te vi, sempre te amei", de Guto Maia.

The second solo album , "So Simple " came out in 1995 by MoviePlay. Toured throughout Brazil and in Uruguay , Angola and Cuba , always with a repertoire of MPB. From 2003 to 2007 , he directed the Music Center Funarte , during the administration of actor Antonio Grassi . Coordinated the Sectorial Chamber of Culture , bringing together representatives of state music forums , representatives of civil society and sectors of the Executive Branch . According to Grassi , all new musical projects of the Foundation as well as the revival of Pixinguinha Project , were responsabildade of Ana. Alfândega é a banda cuja sonoridade vai do soft ao hard,confeccionada com vigor poético e formação clássica de rock’nroll : guitarra,baixo e bateria. As letras de suas músicas expressam esse fazer poético e falam das diversas matizes do sentimento que existe no dia-a-dia de seus componentes: amor,esperança,indignação,etc. Daí o nome da banda,Alfândega , o lugar por onde passam os fatos cotidianos e os sentimentos por eles gerados que são percebidos e transformados em produtos musicais. A história do Alfândega tem início no final de 1988, quando Carlos Henrique,estudante de arquitetura e Rômulo Tavares,estudante de educação artística conheceram-se na Escola de Música da UFRN.Além de arquitetura, Carlos também estudava violino e Rômulo violão. Como tinham objetivos musicais em comum resolveram formar a banda.Para a bateria foi convidado Pedro Queiroga, também estudante de Educação Artística.Em seguida, foram convidados Arthur Winston,estudante do curso de Física para a guitarra-solo e Gileno José de Engenharia Elétrica para o baixo. Gileno que hoje ensina no CEFET de Mossoró não permaneceu na banda, mas participou de uma fase marcante dela. A influência do rock nacional e internacional dos anos 80 foi muito forte no primeiro momento da banda. Grupos que cantavam utopias sociais e rock de protesto como U2, THE POLICE, MIDNIGHT OIL,BAUHAUS,BEATLES,PARALAMAS DO SUCESSO e artistas como Caetano Veloso entre outros eram interpretados dentro da ótica Alfandegária. Mas foi a vocação para a música autoral o que pautou os primeiros ensaios e os caminhos a serem percorridos pela banda. No princípio, as parcerias se davam basicamente entre Carlos e Rômulo,além deles comporem isoladamente também. Ainda na primeira fase que vai até 94, a banda tocou com Chico Science e Mundo Livre num show em Recife, abriu shows para o Biquine Cavadão e Engenheiros do Hawai; fez shows autorais no Palácio dos Esportes e no Teatro Alberto Maranhão ,em Caicó e em Campina Grande. De 95 ao ano 2000 a Alfândega esteve parado.Em 2001 Carlos Henrique reuniu alguns amigos músicos e fez uma apresentação no festival MADA, anunciando o retorno da banda que se daria em breve. No mesmo ano a formação original retomou os ensaios e selecionou 14 músicas para serem gravadas. Foi com o apoio da Lei Municipal de incentivo à cultura que o CD foi gravado, tendo a participação do Coral Madrigal da UFRN, da cantora portuguesa Ana Barbara Baptista, da cantora israelense Meira Asher e dos músicos Eri Araújo (trompete),Franklin Nogvaes (teclados),Marco França (piano e teclados) e Jorge Lima (direção,percussão e efeitos) . Customs is the band whose sound goes from soft to hard, made with poetic force and classical training rock'nroll: guitar, bass and drums. The lyrics of his songs express this poetic and speak to the various shades of feeling that exists in the day-to-day components: love, hope, anger, etc. Hence the name of the band, Customs, the place through which the daily facts and feelings generated by them that are perceived and transformed into musical products. The history of the Customs begins at the end of 1988 when Carlos Henrique, architecture student and Romulo Tavares, art education student met at the Music School of Architecture UFRN.Além, Carlos also studied violin and guitar Romulo. As they had in common musical goals they formed the banda.Para the battery was invited Pedro Queiroga also Artística.Em Education student then were asked Arthur Winston, Physics course student for solo-guitar and José Gileno of Electrical Engineering for bass. In the same year the original training resumed rehearsals and selected 14 songs to be recorded. It was with the support of the Municipal Law to encourage culture that the CD was recorded, with the participation of the Choir Madrigal UFRN, the Portuguese singer Ana Bárbara Baptista, Israeli singer Meira Asher and musicians Eri Araújo (trumpet), Franklin Nogvaes ( keyboards), Marco France (piano and keyboards) and Jorge Lima (direction, percussion and effects). Almir de Souza Serra, mais conhecido como Almir Guineto, é um sambista e compositor, um dos maiores representantes do pago de raiz e um dos fundadores do Grupo Fundo de Quintal. Entre seus principais sucessos, destacam-se “Caxambu”, “Conselho”, “Jibóia”, “Lama nas Ruas” e “Mel na Boca”. Nascido e criado no Morro do Salgueiro, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, Almir Guineto teve contato direto com o samba desde a infância, já que havia vários músicos em sua família. Seu pai Iraci de Souza Serra era violonista e integrava o grupo Fina Flor do Samba; sua mãe Nair de Souza (mais conhecida como “Dona Fia”) era costureira e uma das principais figuras da Acadêmicos do Salgueiro; seu irmão Francisco de Souza Serra (mais conhecido como Chiquinho) foi um dos fundadores dos “Originais do Samba”. Na década de 1970, Almir já era mestre de bateria e um dos diretores da Salgueiro e fazia parte do grupo de compositores que freqüentavam o Bloco Carnavalesco Cacique de Ramos. Nessa época, Almir inovou o samba ao introduzir o banjo adaptado com um braço de cavaquinho. Em 1979, Almir mudou-se para a cidade de São Paulo para se tornar o cavaquinista dos Originais do Samba. Lá fez “Bebedeira do Zé”, sua primeira composição gravada pelo grupo, onde a voz do Sambista aparece. No início dos anos oitenta, ele ajudou a fundar o grupo Fundo de Quintal junto com os sambistas Bira, Jorge Aragão, Neoci, Sereno, Sombrinha e Ubirany. Mas ele deixou o grupo logo após a gravação de “Samba é no Fundo de Quintal” - primeiro LP do conjunto - e seguiu para carreira solo. Almir conquistou fama com a premiação no Festival MPB-Shell, da Rede Globo, em 1981, em que interpretou o samba-partido “Mordomia” (de Ari do Cavaco e Gracinha). Alexisonfire foi uma banda de post-hardcore do Canadá formada em St. Catharines em 2001 e que chegou ao fim em 2011. A banda anunciou sua separação em 5 de Agosto de 2011, pelo site oficial. Alegaram que não foi uma separação amigável: Dallas estava mais interessado em manter o ‘City and Colour’ e Wade havia sido convidado para ingressar o Gallows. Quando uma banda se nomeia baseando-se na única contorcionista lactante do mundo, você sabe que está diante de algo diferente; e como no caso da inspiração, você sabe que algumas pessoas ficarão fascinadas, algumas ficarão surpresas e algumas considerarão tudo uma grande perda de tempo. Esta é uma banda de extremos: uivante e suplicante, feia e bonita, poética e obscena, óbvia e sublime. Você pode pensar nela do jeito que quiser. Afinal, esse é o ponto. O Alexisonfire apareceu no underground do sul de Ontário, Canadá, no fim de 2001, como um monstruoso e altamente cativante “acidente” em progresso. Atacando com força total, Dallas, Wade, George, Jordan e Chris não somente impressionaram os críticos com sua abordagem ácida e ao mesmo tempo doce no que diz respeito às performances e às letras, mas também foram reconhecidos por sua capacidade musical estelar, e pela palpável tensão reprimida da banda ao vivo. When a band is named based on the only lactating contortionist in the world, you know you're in for something different; and as in the case of inspiration, you know that some people will be fascinated, some surprises and some will consider it a great loss of time. This is a band of extremes: poetic and obscene, obvious and sublime howling, pleading, ugly and beautiful. You can think of it the way you want. After all, that's the point. The underground Alexisonfire appeared in southern Ontario, Canada, in late 2001, as a monstrous and highly captivating "accident" in progress.
