Robert Nesta Marley, mais conhecido como Bob Marley, foi um cantor, guitarrista e compositor jamaicano. Ele é o mais conhecido músico de reggae de todos os tempos, famoso por popularizar o gênero pelos quatro cantos do mundo. Grande parte do seu trabalho lidava com os problemas dos pobres e oprimidos, ele era considerado a voz dos oprimidos e lutava por um mundo de justiça e direitos iguais. Ele foi chamado de “Charles Wesley dos rastafaris” pela maneira com que divulgava a Cultura através de suas músicas. Nascido em Saint Ann, Jamaica em 6 de fevereiro de 1945, Bob foi casado com Rita Marley (uma das “I Threes”, que passaram a cantar com os Wailers depois de eles alcançarem sucesso internacional). Ela foi mãe de quatro de seus doze filhos(2 adotados), os renomados Ziggy e Stephen Marley, que continuam o legado musical de seu pai na banda Melody Makers. Outro de seus filhos, Damian Marley (vulgo “Jr Gong”) também seguiu carreira musical. Um mês antes de sua morte, Bob Marley foi premiado com a Ordem ao Mérito Jamaicana. Ele queria passar seus últimos dias em sua terra natal, mas a doença se agravou durante o vôo de volta da Alemanha e Marley teve de ser internado em Miami. Ele faleceu no hospital Cedars of Lebanon no dia 11 de maio de 1981 em Miami, Flórida, aos 36 anos. Robert Nesta Marley, better known as Bob Marley, was a singer, guitarist and composer Jamaican. He is best known reggae musician of all times, famous for popularizing the genre to the four corners of the world. Much of his work deals with the problems of the poor and oppressed, he was considered the voice of the oppressed and fighting for a world of justice and equal rights. He was called "Charles Wesley of the Rastafarian" by the way that promoted the culture through their music. Born in Saint Ann, Jamaica on February 6, 1945, Bob was married to Rita Marley (one of the "I Threes", which began to sing with the Wailers after they reach international success). She was the mother of four of his twelve children (two adopted), the renowned Ziggy and Stephen Marley who continue the musical legacy of his father in the band Melody Makers. Another of his sons, Damian Marley (aka "Jr Gong") also followed musical career. A month before his death, Bob Marley was awarded the Jamaican Order of Merit. He wanted to spend his last days in his homeland, but the disease worsened during the flight back from Germany and had to be hospitalized in Miami. A história de Mantus realmente começa por volta de 1972 quando dois amigos, Billy Amendola e Frank DeCrescenzo , começou um grupo chamado Gypsy . Em 1974, um outro amigo , John Kaz se juntou à banda seguido por Jimmi Braffet . Dois anos mais tarde , Jimmy Maer juntou também. A banda foi principalmente uma banda de rock , influenciado por outras bandas como rainha , Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep e The Beatles. Eles também escreveram algum material próprio. Mamonas Assassinas foi uma banda brasileira de rock cômico, ativa entre 1995 e 1996. Em 1989 os irmãos Samuel e Sérgio Reoli, junto com Bento Hinoto e, mais tarde, Júlio Rasec, formaram uma banda de rock chamada Utopia, especializada em covers de grupos como Legião Urbana e Rush. Em um show, o público pediu para tocarem Sweet Child o'Mine dos Guns N' Roses, e como não sabiam a letra, pediram a um espectador para ajudá-los. Dinho voluntariou-se para cantar, e com sua performance escrachada fez o público rir, sendo aceito no grupo. O Utopia passou a apresentar-se na periferia de São Paulo e lançou um disco que vendeu menos de 100 cópias. Aos poucos, os integrantes começaram a perceber que as palhaçadas e músicas de paródia eram mais bem recebidas pelo público do que os covers e as músicas sérias. Decidiram, então, mudar o perfil da banda, a começar pelo nome, escolhido por ser o mais engraçado, e que cita mamona como sinônimo de seio (tanto que o grupo criou a tradução para inglês "The Big Killer Breasts", peitões assassinos). Mandaram uma fita demo com as músicas "Pelados em Santos" e "Robocop Gay" para diversas gravadoras, e Rafael, filho do diretor artístico da EMI, João Augusto Soares e baterista da banda Baba Cósmica, insistiu na contratação. Após assistir uma apresentação do grupo em 28 de Abril de 1995, João Augusto resolveu assinar contrato com os Mamonas. Após gravar um disco produzido por Rick Bonadio (apelidado pela banda de Creuzebek), os Mamonas saíram em imensa turnê, apresentando-se em programas como Jô Soares Onze e Meia e tocando mais de cinco vezes por semana, com apresentações em 25 dos 27 estados brasileiros e ocasionais dois shows por dia. O cachê dos Mamonas tornou-se um dos mais caros do país, R$50 mil, e a EMI faturou cerca de R$80 milhões com a banda. Os Mamonas preparavam uma carreira internacional, com partida para Portugal preparada para 3 de Março de 1996. Porém em 2 de Março, enquanto voltavam de um show em Brasília, o Learjet em que viajavam chocou-se contra a Serra da Cantareira, numa tentativa de arremetida, matando todos que estavam no avião. O enterro no dia 4 de Março fora acompanhado por mais de 65 mil fãs.
Mamonas Assassinas was a Brazilian comic rock band, active between 1995 and 1996.
