O Soanata surgiu no ano de 1998, onde três amigos resolveram se juntar e formar um grupo de pagode para tocar nas batucadas de Natal. Sentindo necessidade de colocar um trabalho próprio para tocar nas rádios, o Soanata ganhou um presente de Deus, e gravou seu primeiro sucesso: Minha Princesa. A música chegou há ficar várias semanas em primeiro lugar nas rádios do RN. Foi aí que surgiu o primeiro cd, que vendeu a marca surpreendente de 30.000 cópias. Na época, o grupo se apresentou 03 vezes no programa Raul Gil, e em outros programas televisivos. No ano de 2002, gravou seu segundo cd intitulado Faz de Mim. Dando sempre prioridade à qualidade musical, o grupo Soanata sempre foi respeitado no meio artístico, mantendo a mesma formação e respeitando seus fãs e parceiros obtidos desde o primeiro cd, esse 2º cd chegou a vender 20.000 cópias. No ano de 2005 foi gravado o seu DVD no Boulevard para a despedida da banda, casa cheia com 5.000 públicos. Antes de fazer parte do grupo Soweto, atuou como cavaquinista de vários grupos paulista, Beira Rio (com o qual chegou a gravar), entre outros. Fez show de abertura para várias bandas: Arte Final, Reinaldo, Art Popular e J.B. Samba, entre outras. A partir de 1993, a convite de um amigo de infância Robson Buiú, integrou, como líder, o grupo Soweto, com o qual gravou três discos e realizou shows pelo Brasil e exterior. Em 1996, por um selo independente o grupo lançou o CD "Ventos areais". No ano seguinte, contratados pela EMI Music, gravaram o CD "Refém do coração", que chegou a vender cerca de um milhão de cópias, lançando nacionalmente o grupo. Por essa época, participou também de gravações com outros artistas, como Ivete Sangalo e Neguinho da Beija-Flor. Com este, gravou um antigo sucesso, a música "Ângela", cuja  regravação vendeu 500 mil cópias em todo o país. Em 1999, a presidência da Escola de Samba Beija-Flor convidou-o a puxar o samba-enredo da escola ao lado de Neguinho da Beija-Flor. No mesmo ano, o disco que lançou com o Soweto, "Farol das estrelas"', vendeu um milhão e meio de cópias. Em 2000, o conjunto saiu em turnê por Portugal e África. Neste mesmo ano, lançou seu primeiro trabalho solo, o CD "Desafio", pela gravadora EMI. A música "Tua boca" foi tema da novela "O Cravo e a Rosa", da Rede Globo de televisão; "Desafio", outro sucesso do disco, destacou-se nas rádios. O disco vendeu mais de um milhão de cópias, ganhando o "Disco de Platina Duplo". Em 2001, ao lado de Dhema, Os Morenos e da bateria da Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, participou do show de réveillon na Praia do Recreio, no Rio de Janeiro. Neste mesmo ano, lançou "Belo ao vivo". O CD vendeu cerca de um milhão de cópias e com ele ganhou mais uma vez o disco de platina. Neste disco incluiu alguns sucessos de seu antigo grupo Soweto e outros de sua carreira solo, além das composições "Lambada de serpente" (Djavan e Cacaso), "Resumo de felicidade" e " "Viver por ela" (Belo e M. A história do Garantido começa em 24 de junho de 1913, quando o filho de pescador Lindolfo Monteverde resolveu por em prática uma das histórias que ouvia de seu avô, ex-escravo de origem maranhense que veio para a Ilha de Parintins em busca de um espaço para a sua família viver e produzir. Dentre as inúmeras histórias, Lindolfo ouviu a história de um boi que dançava visitando famílias e alegrando as pessoas. Havia muitas lendas em torno deste boi contado pelo avô. A que mais chamava a atenção do neto era sobre o roubo da língua do boi e os versos cantados durante o ritual do boi que envolvia Pai Francisco, Mãe Catirina, o Amo do Boi, o Pajé e outras figuras. Antes de concretizar a idéia para lembrar as histórias do avô, foram realizados vários ensaios, até chegar o momento da primeira apresentação que começou como uma simples brincadeira junina. Contam os mais antigos que a apresentação foi antecedida de uma ladainha e depois houve distribuição de Aluá, bolo de macaxeira, tacacá e, no final, muito forró. Mais tarde, ao servir o exército, Lindolfo Monteverde adoeceu e a gravidade de sua doença o levou a fazer promessa a São João Batista, prometendo que, se ficasse bom e enquanto tivesse vida, seu bumba jamais deixaria de sair nas ruas. Foi então que o Garantido passou a ser chamado de “Boi da Promessa”. A partir de então, todos os anos os torcedores do Boi se reúnem na noite de 24 de junho para rezar a ladainha e festejar São João Batista e em seguida saem pelas ruas da cidade, dançando em frente às casas que tiverem fogueiras acesas. Segundo os mais antigos, esta saída do Garantido pelas ruas da cidade era normal durante a época das festas juninas. ontam que Lindolfo Monteverde era um cantador e repentista que causava admiração em quem o ouvia cantar, por causa do timbre de voz que dominava os terreiros e era ouvido à distância sem utilizar nenhum tipo de aparelho sonoro mecânico. Lindolfo também incomodava os torcedores do boi contrário com sua firmeza de voz e a inteligência dos desafios que criava. Até hoje, é considerado o melhor compositor de toadas que o boi-bumbá de Parintins registrou. Desde a sua criação, o Garantido se apresenta com um coração na testa e as cores Vermelha e branca foram adotadas pela torcida. A cor Vermelha, do coração e a branca, do boi. O nome Garantido surgiu do próprio criador, Lindolfo Monteverde, que em suas toadas sempre lembrava aos bois contrários que seu bumbá sempre saía inteiro dos confrontos de ruas que, na época, eram rotineiros. Dizia Lindolfo que nas “brigas” com os contrários a cabeça de seu boi nunca quebrava ou ficava avariada, “isso era garantido”. A brincadeira foi evoluindo e em 1965 aconteceu o primeiro Festival Folclórico de Parintins, mas não houve participação dos bumbás. A primeira disputa veio no segundo Festival quando o Garantido enfrentou o Caprichoso (o contrário). O primeiro empate da disputa aconteceu no ano de 2000. Em sua história, lhe foram atribuídos vários slogans carinhosos, como: “Boi da Promessa”, “Boi do Coração”, “Brinquedo de São João”, “Boi do Povão” e outros. O mais popular é “Brinquedo de São João”, de autoria de Lindolfo Monteverde para homenagear o santo a quem se apegou para curar a doença que o ameaçava quando servia o exército. Os dirigentes preservam até os dias atuais este slogan como forma de reconhecimento a Lindolfo, o poeta maior da Nação Vermelha e Branca. O Garantido surgiu na antiga estrada Terra Santa, hoje Av. Lindolfo Monteverde, na tradicional Baixa do São José. Atualmente, um complexo arquitetônico da antiga Fabriljuta, localizado no Km 1 da Rodovia Odovaldo Novo, adquirido pela agremiação, abriga toda a estrutura de galpões, a diretoria e demais coordenadorias que fazem parte da administração do boi que, hoje, é a brincadeira mais séria dos habitantes de Parintins, a Ilha do Boi-bumbá. Tudo começou em 1992, quando Claudio Rodrigues Mattos ou só Claudinho convenceu Claucirlei Jovêncio de Souza mais conhecido como Buchecha, a participar de um concurso de RAP no Clube Mauá em São Gonçalo – RJ. Os dois ganharam o concurso, com o “rap da bandeira branca” mas pararam por ai e três anos depois, ainda por insistência de Claudinho, a dupla participou e venceu mais um festival, dessa vez a música foi o RAP do Salgueiro, que virou febre nas rádios e bailes cariocas. O sucesso foi tanto que dupla não parou mais. Em 1995, o primeiro disco que levava o nome da dupla que vendeu mais de 1,2 milhões de cópias! E com esse sucesso a dupla viajou para o Japão, Portugal, Argentina, EUA, entre outros. No disco “A Forma” Claudinho & Buchecha mostraram que ficariam marcados na história da música brasileira. A partir de então criaram um estilo de música e coreografia imitado por outras duplas. O repertório é basicamente romântico, longe da crítica social mais característica do rap e do funk brasileiros. Outros sucessos foram "Só Love" e "Xereta". Eles receberam também o prêmio de revelação no VMB da MTV, neste mesmo ano. Influenciado por B. B. King e Eric Clapton, é considerado um dos melhores guitarristas de blues do Brasil. Aos 19 anos, em 1976, fundou o grupo de blues-hard rock Legião Estrangeira e a banda Aero blues. A partir da década de 1980 lançou-se em carreira solo apresentando-se na boate carioca Appalloosa, na rua Barata Ribeiro, em Copacabana. No início da década de 1980, um aluno seu insistiu para que gravasse uma fita-demo e a levou à Rádio Fluminense (A Maldita). Logo, a emissora pôs sua música no ar, tornando-a um grande sucesso. Por essa época, começavam os shows de rock no Circo Voador, na Lapa, centro do Rio de Janeiro e também os show produzidos por Nelson Motta, "Noites Cariocas", no Morro da Urca (Pão de Açúcar). Sua primeira participação solo em gravação ocorreu em 1982, na coletânea lançada pela WEA "Rock voador", somente com bandas que se apresentavam no Circo Voador do Rio de Janeiro. Em 1984, participou da trilha sonora do filme "Bete Balanço", também lançada em LP pela WEA. Neste mesmo ano, lançou pela gravadora Warner o disco "Som na guitarra", do qual se destacaram as faixas "Blues motel" e "Aumenta que isso aí é rock and roll", sua composição mais conhecida. Ainda deste LP, outras músicas obtiveram relativo sucesso, entre as quais "Rock fora da lei" e "O brilho da noite", parceria com Geraldo D'arbilly. No ano seguinte, ao lado de Barão Vermelho, Herman Torres, Robson Jorge e Lincoln Olivetti, Roupa Nova, José Renato, Fred Nascimento e Marisa Monte, entre outros, participou da trilha sonora do filme "Tropclip", na qual interpretou de sua autoria "Tempos difíceis". O filme foi estrelado por Tânia Nardini, Marcos Frota, Ticiana Studart e Carlos Loffler. No ano de 1986, foi convidado pela revista "Roll" para entrevistar B.B. King, que por essa época apresentava-se no Brasil. B. B. King emprestou-lhe sua famosa guitarra Lucille, convidando-o para visitá-lo em Indianápolis. Para seu quarto disco, fez eleições diretas no Circo Voador, pelas quais o público escolheu o repertório. Ainda na década de 1990, lançou a grife Blues Boy (óculos escuros e paletas para guitarra e baixo). Em 1999, lançou o CD "Vagabundo errante", na casa de espetáculos carioca Ballroom. No ano de 2002 apresentou-se na Lona Cultural João Bosco, em Vista Alegre, subúrbio do Rio de Janeiro e na Lona Cultural Gilberto Gil, em Realengo, também no Rio de Janeiro. Em 2003, apresentou-se no HardRockCafé, no Rio de Janeiro. No ano de 2007 fez show no Circo Voador gravando as faixas para o CD e DVD "Quem foi que falou que acabou o rock'n' roll?", nos quais compilou seus maiores sucessos: "Blues motel", "Fumando na escuridão", "Marginal", "Aumenta que isso aí é rock'n' roll" e "Tempos difíceis", além da faixa inédita que dá nome ao disco. O DVD e CD foram lançados em show na casa carioca Canecão no ano seguinte, em 2008. Em 2011 lançou o último disco de carreira intitulado "Por um monte de cerveja".
