Jean-Luc Ponty é um músico, violinista e compositor francês de jazz. Estudou como violinista clássico profissional no Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. Sua atração pelo jazz é devida às músicas de Miles Davis e de John Coltrane. Trabalhou com Stephane Grappelli, a Mahavishnu Orchestra de John McLaughlin, Frank Zappa, e publicou diversos discos nos anos 70, 80 e 90. Ponty foi pioneiro na utilização de um violino elétrico a 5 cordas, equipado de 1 corda baixa afinada em Dó. Lançado nos EUA, quatro anos após o seu lançamento no Canadá, este album, está cheio de boas faixas de puro hard rock, com um trabalho maravilhoso da guitarra nas mãos de Walter Rossi.
O riff de abertura instrumental, Wizard, dá o tom aos roqueiros como: "Lord knows I won", e a imaginaria "Just You And Me e Wheel Of Fortune". "Let us be silent" é notável os solos de guitarra fuzz e "A way to die" é uma canção mais lenta com um belo solo de guitarra de Rossi. Um álbum que vale a pena conferir. Antes de formar esta grande banda, Walter Rossi havia tocado no final dos anos 60, com alguns grandes nomes do rock como: Wilson Picket e The Buddy Miles Express. Ele até recusou ofertas de Three Dog Night e Janis Joplin . Walter também teve o prazer de tocar com Jimi Hendrix e Buddy Miles em várias ocasiões durante a sua Band of Gypsies. Em seguida, de volta ao Canadá, Walter Rossi 'co- fundou' a banda de rock progressivo Influence em 1969. Depois de ter assinado com ABC Records, eles foram em turnê abrindo shows de de The Doors e Steppenwolf. Em 1971 ele formou Charlee. Este álbum praticamente inédito, do início dos anos 70 é absolutamente incrível e essencial para qualquer pessoa interessada em metal. In 1971 he formed Charlee . This virtually unheard album of the early '70s is absolutely amazing and essential for anyone interested in metal.
