The Murder City Devils foi uma banda de garage punk activa entre 1996 e 2001. Desde 2006, a banda tem tocado em shows ocasionais festivais e em Seattle e uma breve turnê da West Coast, em Fevereiro de 2009. Formação original da banda, foi composta por Spencer Moody, Dann Gallucci, Fudesco Derek, Coady Willis, e Manny Nate formada em Seattle, Washington em 1996. Dentro de um ano, a banda lançou dois singles Three Sixes Natural e Dance Hall Music e assinou com o “Die Young Stay Pretty” rótulo, uma subsidiária da Sub Pop. O auto-intitulado álbum de estréia foi lançado em 1997. Após um breve intervalo, a banda lançou In Name and Blood, em 2000, com fotos do encarte notoriamente alusivos a cada membro como uma vítima de assassinato. A banda lançou o EP Thelema, em 2001, antes de se acabar no final daquele ano devido a circunstâncias da saída de Hardy’s da banda. Em 2006, a banda anunciou que estavam fazendo um show em Seattle, com todos os membros originais. A banda tocou em 29 de julho, no Capitol Hill Block Party fechando o festival de música de dois dias. A banda fez vários shows ao longo de 2008 e lançou uma breve turnê West Coast em fevereiro de 2009. The Murder City Devils were a garage punk band active between 1996 and 2001. Since 2006, the band has played occasional festival and Seattle shows and a brief tour of the West Coast in February 2009. by Spencer Moody, Dann Gallucci, Derek Fudesco, Coady Willis, and Manny Nate formed in Seattle, Washington in 1996. Within a year, the band released two singles Three Sixes Natural and Dance Hall Music and signed with Die Young Stay Pretty ” label, a subsidiary of Sub Pop. The self-titled debut album was released in 1997. After a brief break, the band released In Name and Blood in 2000, with liner notes famously alluding to each member as a murder victim. The band released the EP Thelema in 2001 before disbanding later that year due to circumstances surrounding Hardy's departure from the band. In 2006, the band announced that they were playing a concert in Seattle, with all the original members. The band played the July 29, Capitol Hill Block Party closing of the two-day music festival. The band played several shows throughout 2008 and launched a brief West Coast tour in February 2009. Ivan Guimarães Lins, conhecido simplesmente como Ivan Lins, (Rio de Janeiro, 16 de junho de 1945) é um músico brasileiro. Filho do militar Geraldo Lins, foi muito influenciado por diversos gêneros musicais como jazz, bossa nova e soul e tem como principal instrumento o piano, que toca desde os dezoito anos. Formou-se em engenharia química no final dos anos 60, quando iniciou a carreira musical em festivais. A canção O Amor É O Meu País, erroneamente taxada de ufanista, foi classificada em segundo lugar consecutivo no V Festival Internacional da Canção. O primeiro sucesso como compositor foi com Madalena, gravada por Elis Regina. Teve em Vítor Martins o mais freqüente parceiro. A primeira composição entre ambos se deu quando do lançamento do quarto LP, Modo livre, pela RCA. Nessa mesma década lançou alguns discos que o projetaram nacionalmente. Teve inúmeros sucessos como cantor como Abre Alas, Somos todos iguais nesta noite e Começar de Novo - todas em parceria com Vítor Martins. A partir da segunda metade dos anos 80, começa a enfatizar a carreira internacional, principalmente nos EUA, onde foi regravado por inúmeros astros da música internacional, como Quincy Jones, George Benson, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen MacRae e Barbra Streisand.
