[Fonte: lastfm]

Heron is a British folk band founded in 1967, which released two albums and two singles on the Dawn label from 1970 to 1972. Both albums were recorded overseas. The first self-titled album was recorded on a field by the River Thames; The second was a double album, which they recorded outside a Devon country house. This album shows a wider variety of musical styles compared to the debut album. But still the acoustic folk style is dominant, mixed with some more rocking melodies. The original lineup consisted of Roy Apps, G.T. Moore, Tony Pook and Steve Jones. After the two albums, some members of Heron went to work with Shusha. Moore was also busy recording and touring with a band named G.T. Moore and the Reggae Guitars, who split up in 1977. Later, in 1983, a tape called Open Up the Road was released, and soon after Moore left. But the band continued, playing shows with Terry Clarke and Big Tom Robinson. Eventually, in 2005, Gerry Power joined in, and they recorded a whole new album called Black Dog. This album was again recorded outdoors in the Black Dog cottage in Devon. In 2006, Universal released an anthology of two CDs, including seven unreleased recordings that were made for Dawn. Finally, in 2010, the original line got together to record a new album for the Japanese label 'arm'. The album was released in 2011, and was called Simple As One Two Three. [Source: lastfm]

Deste disco, “Ordinary World” e “Come Undone” levaram a banda ao Top 10 britânico e estadunidense. [Fonte:wikipedia]

Duran Duran are an English rock band formed in 1978. It is one of the most important bands of the new romantic explosion in the early 80s decade and still very worshiped by fans all over the world. Inspired by post-punk scene and the end of the disk 70, the school friends Nick Rhodes (keyboards) and John Taylor (guitar at the time, later bass) formed a band in 1978. They invited Simon Colley (bass and clarinet) and Stephen Duffy (vocals) to complete what would be the Duran Duran - name that refers to the villain Dr. Durand Durand, the science fiction film Barbarella (Roger Vadim). The first concerts of Duran Duran were carried out in Birmingham with the aid of a drum machine. Duffy and Colley left the group just over a year later. Andy Wickett took over the vocals and Roger Taylor also joined as drummer. Also in 1979 Wickett left the group. After recording a demo, members of Duran Duran put an ad in a newspaper, seeking a guitarist for the group. Through this, they hired Andy Taylor. There was only a singer. BOB DYLAN - MTV Unplugged [Recommended]

FOLK ROCK
1995

No ano seguinte ele lança "The Freewhellin' Bob Dylan" que trazia "Blowin' In The Wind", hit que consagrou Dylan. If Not For You" (1970), "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" (1973), "Forever Young" (1974). E em 1997 ele lança "Time Out Of Mind" que ganhou vários Grammys. Em 2001 Dylan lança "Love and Theft" , que confirma a qualidade musical do cantor de "Time Out Of Mind". [Fonte: lastfm]

On the other hand, it has been critically acclaimed, has expanded its audience, becoming increasingly influential among contemporary artists and launching the most appreciated albums of his career. In 1969 he participated in the Isle of Wight Festival and in 1971 attended the Concert for Bangladesh, organized by George Harrison. After that, Dylan did not return to carry out tours in 1974. The 70 was not very favorable for Dylan that was not very well received by critics, considered well below his best moments. Anyway some songs of that era were highlighted as: "If Not For You" (1970), "Knockin 'on Heaven's Door" (1973), "Forever Young" (1974). When Dylan back on tour, accompanied by The Band group, returns the evidence and success, mainly by double live praised "Before the Flood" (1974). In 1978, he left for a world tour (which was largely recorded in the double live "At Budokan") and ended up focusing on gospel music, convert and join a church. In this new phase, "Slow Train" (1979) brings even inspired moments: the song "Gotta Serve Somebody" won a Grammy, but the following discs are irregular. In 1983, Dylan released "Infidels" and away from the Christian faith, about sudden way for his Jewish roots and rediscover seems certain artistic balance. Well received by critics, it is considered his best album since Desire. In 1988, hits stores "Down In The Grovy" album that went unnoticed by critics and fans. In 1989 he released the album "Oh Mercy" widely praised for the quality of music and the charts again with the band Traveling Wilburys, made friends with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison. In the early 90s, Bob Dylan gives a "stop" in his career. To celebrate and take stock of his 30 year career, he returns to record traditional, acoustic folk, no matter how little commercial appeal of this genre today. In 1992 he conducted a show-tribute in style, with the participation of several names in rock, country and soul singing their songs: Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Lou Reed, Eddie Vedder and others. COMPAY SEGUNDO - Calle Salud

WORLD MUSIC
1999

Compay Segundo. Violonista, clarinetista, tresero e compositor cubano. [Fonte: wikipedia]
