Eduardo de Góis Lobo, conhecido como Edu Lobo, é um cantor, compositor, arranjador e instrumentista brasileiro. Filho do compositor Fernando Lobo, foi criado no Rio de Janeiro e na casa dos tios, em Recife, PE, onde passava as férias escolares. Seu primeiro instrumento foi o acordeon, que estudou dos oito aos 14 anos. Fez os cursos ginasial e colegial no Colégio Santo Inácio, e por essa época já tentava algumas composições. Na PUC cursou Direito até o terceiro ano. Com 16 anos começou a se interessar pelo violão, iniciando-se com um amigo de infância, o compositor Theo de Barros, e estudando teoria musical, mais tarde, com Wilma Graça. Por volta de 1961, passou a frequentar shows, principalmente no Beco das Garrafas, em Copacabana, onde assistia a espetáculos dos representantes da nova geração musical, entre os quais João Gilberto, Sergio Mendes, e Luis Eça (do Tamba Trio). No ano ano de 1961, conheceu o poeta Vinicius de Moraes que fez a letra para Só me fez bem, gravada em 1967 no LP Edu-Betânia, da Elenco. Nessa época, com Dori Caymmi e Marcos Valle formou um conjunto que chegou a atuar em programas de TV e em shows. Seu pai incentivou-o a gravar o seu primeiro disco, um compacto duplo com quatro músicas de sua autoria, bem dentro do estilo intimista característico da bossa nova, cuja contracapa foi escrita por Vinicius, seu novo e importante parceiro. Logo ampliou seu trabalho com temas e motives da cultura popular, graças à influência de Sergio Ricardo, João do Vale, Carlos Lyra e principalmente Rui Guerra, seu parceiro em Canção da terra, Reza e Aleluia, canções representativas dessa nova fase de criação, marcada por seu conteúdo social. Começando a compor para teatro, escreveu em 1963 as músicas para a peça Os Azeredos mais os Benevides, de Oduvaldo Viana Filho. Entre elas a canção Chegança (com letra de Oduvaldo Viana Filho) alcançou grande sucesso. Outro êxito Borandá (letra e música de Edu), foi incluído na peça teatral Opinião, musical de protesto estreado no Rio de Janeiro em 1964. Contratado pela TV Record de São Paulo, passou a atuar semanalmente em porogramas dessa emissora em 1966 participou novamente de festivais: no II FMPB apresentou Jogo de Roda (com Rui Guerra) e no L FIC, da TV Globo, Rio de Janeiro, concorreu com Canto Triste (com Vinicius de Moraes), interpretada por Elis Regina e classificada entre as finalistas. Nesse ano, excursionou pela Europa com outros artistas, entre os quais Sylvia Telles e o Salvador Trio, tendo o grupo gravado um disco então na República Federal da Alemanha. No Brasil, em 1967, depois de quatro meses em Paris, onde fez um filme para a televisão e compôs a trilha do filme Valmy, de Jean Chérasse, voltou a participar de festivais, no Brasil, saindo vencedor do III FMPB com Ponteio (com Capinan), interpretada por ele e Marília Medalha. No ano seguinte, saiu o seu terceiro LP pela Philips, destacando o frevo canção No cordão da saideira. Em seguida, compos algumas canções para a peça teatral Marta Saré, de Gianfrancesco Guarnieri que estreou em 1969, no Teatro João Caetano, No Rio de Janeiro. No início de 1969, participou do MIDEM, em Cannes, França. De volta ao Brasil, depois de uma passagem por Nova York e por Los Angeles, E.U.A., em abril do mesmo ano casou-se com Vanda Sá e, partindo em seguida para Los Angeles, onde residiu por dois anos. Aí se dedicou ao estudo sistemático da música, fazendo cursos de orquestracão com Albert Harris e de música para cinema, com Lalo Schiffrin. Nesse período, excursionou pelo Japão, com Sergio Mendes, que também produziu o LP Lobo, gravado em 1971 em Los Angeles e lançado pela A&M Records. Gravou ainda com Paul Desmond, saxofonista do Dave Brubeck Quartet, o LP From the hot afternoon, com composições suas e de Milton Nascimento. Dentre os discos feitos nos E.U.A., apenas o LP Cantiga de Longe foi editado no Brasil, trazendo a participação de Hermeto Paschoal, Airto Moreira, Claudio Slon e Vanda Sá, que reapareceu como intérprete na canção Agua Verde (de sua autoria). De volta ao Brasil, em 1971, trabalhou pricipalmente como orquestrador e compositor de trilhas musicais. Criou a trilha sonora do filme de Miguel Borges O Barão Otelo no barato dos bilhões, de Miguel Borges. Compôs e realizou orquestracões para a peça teatral Woyzec, Georg Büchner. Fez orquestracões e arranjos para um disco de Marília Medalha e Vinicius de Moraes, e em 1973 lançou o LP Edu Lobo (EMI) com músicas inéditas, inclusive uma missa. Ainda em 1973 trabalhou nas orquestrações das músicas de Calabar, ou O elogio da traição, peca teatral de Chico Buarque e Rui Guerra, algumas das quais foram lançadas em 1974 no LP Chico canta. Em 1974 e 1975 atuou como orquestrador contratatdo da TV Globo, tendo sido responsável pela trilha musical de 12 programas da série Casos Especiais. Em 1975 compôs, com Vinicius de Moraes, a trilha Sonora do musical Deus lhe Pague, de Joracy Camargo, com adaptação de Millôr Fernandes e lançou em seguida o LP das canções dessa peça pela EMI, com produção de Aloysio de Oliveira. No ano seguinte, pela Continental, lançou o LP Limite das águas. Em 1977 fez tourné por toda a Alemanha promovendo Limite das Águas, lançado no exterior pela gravadora MPS. Um ano depois gravou o LP Camaleão, lançado no Brasil e no Japão, onde, pela primeira vez, interpretou, com letra de Ferreira Gullar, O Trenzinho do Caipira de Heitor Villa-Lobos (adaptado e orquestrado por ele e por Dori Caymmi). Em 1979 compôs a trilha sonora do filme Barra Pesada de Reginaldo Farias, ganhando prêmio no Festival de Gramado RS. Em 1980, após lançar o LP Tempo Presente, pela Polygram, escreveu e compos o balé Jogos de Dança para o teatro Guaíra de Curitiba PR, lançado em disco no ano seguinte pela Som Livre. Em 1981, em parceria com Tom Jobim lançou o LP Edu&Tom, Tom&Edu produzido por Aloysio de Oliveira. Em 1983, em parceria com Chico Buarque, compôs trilha sonora para o balé O Grande Circo Místico, adaptação de Naum Alves de Souza do poema homônimo de Jorge de Lima e que daria origem aum LP lançado pela Som Livre com a participacão de Gal Costa, Tom Jobim, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Tim Maia e Zizi Possi, entre outros. Em 1984 escreveu a trilha sonora do filme O Cavalinho Azul, de Eduardo Escorel e Imagens do Inconsciente, de Leon Hirszman. Compôs em 1990 a trilha sonora do programa infantil Rá-Tim-Bum, da TV Cultura de São Paulo, lançado posteriormente em CD pela Eldorado. Este disco ganhou dois prêmios Sharp. Em 1992 voltou a apresentar espetáculos, obtendo grande repercussão, o que o levou a gravar um novo disco de intérprete: Corrupião, lançado em CD pela gravadora Velas. Em 1994 recebeu o Prêmio Shell de melhor compositor de música brasileira, pelo conjunto da obra. Lançou em 1995 o CD Meia-Noite, com cordas orquestradas por Cristóvão Bastos, que traz um chôro instrumental em homenagem a Tom Jobim: Perambulando. O disco recebeu o prêmio Sharp como melhor disco de música popular brasileira. Neste ano, foi lançado o CD Songbook Edu Lobo (duplo), bem como o Songbook, livro de partituras manuscritas pelo próprio Edu, ambos pela editora e gravadora Lumiar, de Almir Chediak. Em 1997 compôs a trilha sonora para o filme Guerra de Canudos, de Sergio Resende, cuja canção-tema tinha letra de Cacaso. Neste mesmo ano ano lança pela gravadora BMG o CD Album de Teatro, com canções em parceria com Chico Buarque. Dedica-se ao estudo de programas de música no computador e começa a preparar um novo Songbook, bem mais completo, com aproximadamente 120 músicas, projeto ainda a ser concluído. Em 2001 retoma a parceria com Chico Buarque, compondo as canções da peça teatral Cambaio, de João Falcão e Adriana Falcão. Em seguida produz o CD homônimo, para a gravadora BMG com a participação de Zizi Possi e Gal Costa dividindo a interpretação das canções com Chico Buarque, com orquestrações de Chico de Moraes. Este disco viria a receber, em 2002 o Grammy Latino de melhor CD de música brasileira. Ainda em 2001 compôs a trilha sonora, com orquestrações de Nelson Ayres do filme "O Xangô de Baker Street", de Miguel Faria, baseado em livro de Jô Soares. Eduardo Goes Lobo, known as Edu Lobo, is a singer, composer, arranger and instrumentalist Brazilian. Son of the composer Fernando Lobo, was established in Rio de Janeiro and in their uncles in Recife, where he spent the school holidays. His first instrument was the accordion, which he studied from eight to 14 years. He made the junior courses and high school at St. Ignatius, and by that time already tried some compositions. PUC studied law until the third year. At age 16 he became interested in the guitar, starting with a childhood friend, the composer Theo de Barros, and studying music theory later with Wilma Grace. Cannibal Corpse nasceu em 1988, em Buffalo, Estados Unidos. A primeira formação tinha o vocalista Chris Barnes, os guitarristas Bob Rusay e Jack Owen, o baixista Alex Webster e o baterista Paul Mazurkiewicz. Em 1994 Rob Barret entra para ocupar o lugar do guitarrista Bob Rusay. Dois anos mais tarde o vocalista George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher assume o vocal do Cannibal Corpse e, atualmente as guitarras pesadas ficam por conta de Rob Barrett e Pat O’Brien. Em 1989 uma demo rendeu ao grupo um contrato com a gravadora Metal Blade. O primeiro álbum do Cannibal Corpse, “Eaten Back to Life”, chegou às lojas em 1990. Os fãs incondicionais da banda começaram a aparecer depois dos álbuns “Butchered at Birth”, de 1991, e “Tomb of the Mutilated”, gravado um ano mais tarde. O grupo ficou ainda mais conhecido depois que apareceram no filme Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Na cena eles tocam a “Hammer Smashed Face”, do “Tomb of The Mutilated”. Depois dessa ponta em Hollywood, o Cannibal Corpse surge como a primeira banda de Death Metal no rank Top 200 da Billboard. Em 1994 gravam “The Bleeding” e, depois de quatro anos retornam com “Gallery of Suicide”. Em 1999 gravam “Bloodthirst” e em 2000 o grupo distribuiu “Live Cannibalism”, em CD e DVD. O penúltimo trabalho, lançado em 2004, foi “Wretched Spawn”, e o atual com o Rob Barrett que assume as guitarras novamente no lugar de Jack Owen, que deixou o elenco da banda em 2004 se chama “Kill”, lançado em 2006.
