Formada, originalmente por Guilherme de Sá (voz), Eduardo Faro (guitarra), Rogério Feltrin (baixo) e Grevão (bateria), a banda Rosa de Saron surgiu em 1988 na cidade de Campinas (SP), dentro do movimento de Renovação Carismática da Igreja Católica. Com pouco tempo de banda, começaram a compor suas próprias músicas e participar de festivais, sempre garantindo as primeiras colocações, levando assim o Rosa de Saron a ser conhecido na cena musical da cidade e em seguida a gravar seu primeiro álbum, “Diante da Cruz”. O segundo disco “Angústia Suprema”, desperta o interesse fora do meio religioso e é altamente elogiado por revistas especializadas. Em 1999, grava o single “Olhando de Frente”. Em 2002, após a troca de vocalista, o Rosa de Saron lança “Depois do Inverno”, que consagra a banda. Em 2005, lança “Casa dos Espelhos”, eleito em 2006 como o 3° Melhor disco de Hard Rock Nacional. Em 2007, a banda grava o CD “Acústico” que, mais que uma versão desplugada das suas músicas, através de arranjos muito bem elaborados e de uma excelente interpretação, apresenta ao público um trabalho de altíssima qualidade. Para celebrar 20 anos de carreira, em 2008 a banda grava seu primeiro DVD, o “Acústico e Ao Vivo”, primeiro trabalho da banda a ser distribuído pela Som Livre, rendendo ao grupo seus primeiros DVD e CD de Ouro. As músicas do DVD e CD Acústico e Ao Vivo figuram por muito tempo entre as mais pedidas em várias rádios e sites de letras e cifras. Depois do enorme sucesso com o formato acústico, retornam ao formato elétrico com “Horizonte Distante” que, também muito bem aceito pelo público concedeu à banda um novo Disco de Ouro. Em dezembro de 2010 o Rosa de Saron, dando continuidade a parceria com a Som Livre, lançou seu segundo DVD, Horizonte Vivo Distante, que alem de registrar a bem sucedida turne realizada durante o ano, apresenta 5 canções indeditas e a regravação da música “Mais uma Vez”, famosa canção de Renato Russo e Flávio Venturini e concede a banda um novo DVD de ouro. Indicada por dois anos consecutivos (2010 e 2011) ao Latin Grammy Awards, um dos prêmios mais importantes da música no mundo o que acabou ajudando ao Rosa de saron a se tornar conhecido e respeitado dentro da cena musical brasileira. Também em 2011, a convite da CNBB, se apresentou na JMJ em Madri, Espanha, como representante oficial da juventude brasileira na Jornada. O 11º e mais recente trabalho da banda é o CD O Agora e o Eterno, com 17 músicas inéditas que reafirma a vocação de boa aceitação da banda em todos os meios, religioso ou não, levando a banda a ser atração constante em feiras agropecuárias, festas de cidade e importantes festivais. Formed originally by Guillaume de Sá (voice), Eduardo Faro (guitar), Roger Feltrin (bass) and Grevão (drums), the band Rose of Sharon came in 1988 in the city of Campinas (SP), within the Charismatic Renewal movement the Catholic Church. With little time band started writing their own songs and participate in festivals, always ensuring first positions, thus leading the Rose of Sharon known to be the city's music scene and then recording their first album, "Before the Cross ". The second album 'Anxiety Supreme ", arouses interest outside the religious environment and is highly praised by specialist magazines. In 1999, records the single "Looking Forward." In 2002, after changing vocalist, Rose of Sharon launches "After Winter", which enshrines the band. In 2005, released "House of Mirrors", elected in 2006 as the 3rd Best National Rock Hard disk. In 2007, the band recorded the CD "Acoustic" that more than one unplugged version of their music through fairly elaborate arrangements and an excellent interpretation, presenting to the public a work of the highest quality. To celebrate 20 years of career, in 2008 the band recorded their first DVD, "Live and Acoustic", the band's first work to be released by Som Livre, earning the group their first DVD and CD Gold. The songs on CD and DVD and Acoustic Live long listed among the most requested on several radio and letters and ciphers sites. After the huge success with the acoustic format, return to the electric format with "Distant Horizon" which also very well accepted by the audience gave the band a new Golden Record. In December 2010, the Rose of Sharon, continuing our partnership with Som Livre, released their second DVD, Live Distant Horizon, which besides registering a successful tour held during the year, indeditas features 5 songs and re-recording of the song "one More Time, "the famous song by Renato Russo and Flávio Venturini and gives the band a new DVD of gold. Nominated for two consecutive years (2010 and 2011) the Latin Grammy Awards, one of the most important music awards in the world which eventually helping to Rosa saron become known and respected within the Brazilian music scene. Also in 2011, at the invitation of the Brazilian Bishops, presented at World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain, as an official representative of Brazilian youth in the Journey. The 11th and most recent work of the band's CD's and the Eternal Now, with 17 new songs that reaffirms the vocation of good acceptance of the band in all media, religious or not, leading the band to be constant attraction at agricultural fairs, parties and major city festivals. Despite all recognition and growth during these years, the goal of the band remains the same from their first rehearsals: Making quality rock leading a Christian message of hope, faith and love for all. Bishop nasceu em Glendale , Califórnia, e cresceu em uma fazenda perto de Elliott , Iowa. Sua família mudou-se para Tulsa, Oklahoma, quando o Bispo tinha dez anos. Lá, ele assistiu Will Rogers High School, ganhando uma bolsa de estudos integral para a Universidade de Chicago como finalista Nacional Mérito Acadêmico. Ele se mudou para Chicago em 1960, para participar da universidade, onde se formou em física. Em 1963 , ele conheceu Paul Butterfield gaitista no bairro de Hyde Park e se juntou a banda de blues de Butterfield , com quem permaneceu por cinco anos. Seu terceiro álbum, A Ressurreição de Pigboy Crabshaw , leva o nome do apelido do Bispo. [1] Em 1968, seguiu carreira solo e formou o Elvin Bishop Group, também tocando com Mike Bloomfield e Al Kooper em seu álbum intitulado The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield e Al Kooper. O grupo assinou com a Fillmore Records, que foi de propriedade de Bill Graham, que também possuía os locais de música Fillmore. Em março de 1971, o Elvin Bishop Group e The Allman Brothers Band tocaram juntos uma série de concertos no Fillmore East . Bishop entrou na banda Allman Brothers no palco para uma versão de sua própria canção, " Drunken Hearted Boy ". Bishop was born in Glendale , California, and grew up on a farm near Elliott , Iowa . His family moved to Tulsa , Oklahoma , when Bishop was ten. There he attended Will Rogers High School , earning a full scholarship to the University of Chicago as a National Merit Scholar finalist . He moved to Chicago in 1960 to attend university , where he majored in physics. In 1963 , he met harmonica player Paul Butterfield in the Hyde Park neighborhood and joined Butterfield blues band , with whom he remained for five years . His third album , The Resurrection of Pigboy Crabshaw , named after the nickname of the Bishop . [ 1 ] In 1968 he went solo and formed the Elvin Bishop Group , also played with Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper on his album called The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper . The group signed to Fillmore Records , which was owned by Bill Graham , who also owned the local music Fillmore . In March 1971, the Elvin Bishop Group and The Allman Brothers Band played together a series of concerts at the Fillmore East . Bishop Allman Brothers joined the band onstage for a version of his own song , " Drunken Hearted Boy" . Over the years , Bishop has recorded with many blues artists including Clifton Chenier and John Lee Hooker .
