Seu álbum seguinte, Feels So Good (1975) também alcançou o número 10.

Up to Our Lips recebeu ótimas críticas e o primeiro single do trabalho, Can´t Get Out of Bed se transformou em um grande hit do Charlatans. After several tests, Tim Burgess took the microphone. In 1990 released their first single, Indian Rope, the label Dead Dead Good Records. What differentiated the group, the other of Manchester, was the style of the keyboards used by Collins, making Indian Rope reached the top spot of the indie charts. With the success of the song signed with Beggars Banquet, where to launch The Only One I Know, a few months later. For the same Beggars Banquet release another single, Then, before leaving the group's first album, Some Friendly, who also hit the highest rank of the British charts.
