O líder e vocalista da banda, o cantor e compositor Chico Science, co-fundou a banda Mundo Livre S/A e o movimento Manguebeat.

“A mecanização do pensamento”, argumenta. [Fonte: tramavirtual]

The reason of badly drawn this release is the birth of Machined, Binary Man. An ode to machinery committed by guitarist Lucio Maia. Something very serious. Maia reports that despite the idea to visit from the first professional music time, the solo album began to be developed as soon as he and Jorge Du Peixe finished the soundtrack of the film Yellow Manga (2003), Claudio Assis. Immersed in daily recordings that would stop on the laptop, the musician found himself with over 30 compositions for reference. Cinematrográfica track delivered, the guitarist began the formatting of what a delusional organic-digital epiphany. He opened the temple for prayers in binary codes. "The mechanization of thought," he argues. [Source: TramaVirtual]

MUNDO LIVRE S.A.

The history of the Free World SA begins in the early 90s, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes. It was in this town nearby Recife was born Fred Rodrigues Montenegro, today better known as "Zero Four". His biography of pre-music times is that of any middle-class child of the time. That is, he played football, won a lot of brothers, and sang the national anthem in the schoolyard, where the Military College, whose marches today often sing in embriaguez.Foi nights in Jaboatão, too (more specifically in the neighborhood Candeias), who, still a teenager, he discovered the power of the stage. The memory shows our hero along with friends in a steakhouse, watching the show from a terrible band when, suddenly, was invited to play for the first time on a real guitar. Magic! Thereafter, have a band has become an obsession ... his first real group was the "Con". We are in the early '80s, during the explosion of Brazilian punk. The influence of bands of ABC as "Cholera", "Dry Eye" and "Innocent", caused the premature end of Trickery and the appearance of his second band, the "Service Dirty". Screaming all the paranoia in letters inspired by George Orwell's 1984, Fred paraded pins, boots, an old and battered folder 007 and black shirts with slogans like "Down with Poetry". Paraded also a new codename: came the "Rat", a guy and a sound far ahead of Recife fascinated (a minority) and indifferent or downright hostile (the vast herd). Boredom 80s left the punk anger mature, become a cynically calculated, and thus the "Dirty Service" gave way to "Mundo Livre SA", a name clearly inspired Malcolm Maclareana, intended to ridicule the Cold War revisited the Reagan presidency and the recording industry gears. The "mouse" of the early days of punk turned then in "Zero Four" disguise inspired by the last two digits of your identity card. Today, the Free World is a unanimity in Brazilian music of the new millennium. The Zero Four letters, narrating with rare poetry subjects as diverse as globalization, the East Timor or the misadventures of the white bikini Muses are among the best national pop. And no one in Brazil post-collapse of modernization better unveils the mysteries of the samba that these Pernambuco. [Source: internet]
