O The Bloodhound Gang iniciou como uma pequena banda alternativa em 1992 chamada Bang Chamber 8. O grupo consistia em Jimmy Pop e Daddy Long Legs. Lançaram somente uma fita auto entitulada. Logo mudaram seu nome para Bloodhound Gang, mudando também seu estilo musical. Incapazes de apresentar-se em casas noturnas, a banda apresentou-se pela primeira vez no Evil Jared Hasselhoff, por troca de cigarros e uma chance em gravar uma demo, entitulada Just Another Demo. começaram então a apresentar-se mensalmente no CBGBs em Nova Iorque. Em abril de 1994 lançaram o segundo demo, The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Hitler's Handicapped Helpers e assinaram contrato com a Cheese Factory Records. Em novembro do mesmo ano lançaram o primeiro EP, Dingleberry Haze. Em meados do mesmo ano, Jimmy Pop participou no filme independente The Chick That Was Naked, do cineasta Kurt Fitzpatrick. Uma canção da banda foi utilizada na trilha sonora. Em março de 1995 assinaram com a Columbia Records, lançando então seu primeiro álbum, Use Your Fingers. Começaram turnê pelos Estados Unidos, e nessa época Daddy Long Legs e M.S.G., irritados com a gravadora, deixaram a banda para formar um grupo de rap, Wolfpac, sendo substituidos por Evil Jared Hasselhoff e Tard-E-Tard. Quando a turnê acabou, o contrato com a Columbia foi terminado e Skip O'Pot2Mus deixou a banda para seguir novos caminhos longe da música. Em março de 1996 a banda, sob nova formação, gravou o segundo álbum One Fierce Beer Coaster, lançado pela Geffen Records. Embarcaram então para nova turnê pelos Estados Unidos e Europa. Em 1999 lançaram o terceiro álbum, Hooray for Boobies. Promovido pelo single de sucesso The Bad Touch, embarcaram em mais turnês pela Europa, onde se tornaram bsatante populares. Voltaram após vender mais de cinco milhões de álbuns. Em 2003 lançaram o DVD One Fierce Beer Run, com crônicas da turnê de One Fierce Beer Coaster Em 27 de setembro de 2005 foi lançado Hefty Fine. The The Bloodhound Gang began as a small alternative band in 1992 called Bang Chamber 8. The group consisted of Jimmy Pop and Daddy Long Legs. They released only one tape self titled. Soon changed their name to Bloodhound Gang, also changing their musical style. Unable to perform in nightclubs, the band performed for the first time at Evil Jared Hasselhoff, in exchange for cigarettes and a chance to record a demo, entitled Just Another Demo. then they began to appear monthly in CBGBs in New York. In April 1994 they released their second demo, The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Hitler's Handicapped Helpers and signed with Cheese Factory Records. In November of the same year they released their first EP, Dingleberry Haze. In the middle of that year, Jimmy Pop took part in the independent film The Chick That Was Naked, the filmmaker Kurt Fitzpatrick. A song the band was used on the soundtrack. In March 1995 they signed with Columbia Records, then releasing their first album, Use Your Fingers. They began touring the United States, and this time Daddy Long Legs and MSG, angry with the label, left the band to form a rap group, Wolfpac, being replaced by Evil Jared Hasselhoff and Tard-E-Tard. When the tour ended, the contract with Columbia was completed and Skip O'Pot2Mus left the band to pursue new paths away from music. In March 1996 the band, under new formation, recorded the second album One Fierce Beer Coaster, released by Geffen Records. Then embarked for new tour by the United States and Europe. In 1999 they released their third album, Hooray for Boobies. Sponsored by The Bad Touch hit single, they embarked on more tours in Europe, where they became popular bsatante. They returned after selling more than five million albums. In 2003 launched the DVD One Fierce Beer Run with One tour of chronic Fierce Beer Coaster on September 27, 2005 was released Hefty Fine. Banda de alternative rock, formada em 1994 em Londres, Inglaterra. Os membros fundadores foram o belga, Brian Molko (vocalista e guitarrista) e o sueco, Stefan Olsdal (baixista). Devido a diferentes origens (Bélgica, Suécia, Luxemburgo, Inglaterra e Suíça) dos integrantes que formam/formaram o Placebo, este é considerado uma banda Européia. Depois de uma pequena apresentação juntos em Luxemburgo, eles tiveram certeza que deveriam formar uma banda. Nesse mesmo ano, convidaram o baterista Genebrense e amigo de Stefan, Robert Schultzberg, dando origem à Ashtray Heart. Já em 1995, o nome mudou para Placebo. A banda começou a ganhar projeção, e em novembro daquele ano lançou seu primeiro single. Nesse período, eles abriam shows para grandes bandas e faziam pequenos shows para sua divulgação. Por falta de cumplicidade entre Robert e Brian, o baterista acabou deixando a banda em 1996, e foi nesse momento que eles convidaram Steve Hewitt, amigo de Brian desde de 1991. Steve já havia tocado algumas vezes com Brian e Stefan anteriormente, porém não pôde participar da formação inicial da banda por ser integrante do Breed. Gravaram o primeiro álbum intitulado Placebo em 1996, e logo alcançaram um enorme sucesso pela Europa, por onde já estavam fazendo a própria turnê. Nesse início de carreira, o Placebo chegou a abrir shows para David Bowie. Alternative rock band, formed in 1994 in London, England. The founding members were the Belgian, Brian Molko (singer and guitarist) and Swede Stefan Olsdal (bass). Because of different origins (Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg, England and Switzerland) of the members forming / formed Placebo, this is considered a European band. After a short presentation together in Luxembourg, they made sure that they should form a band. That same year, invited the Genebrense drummer and friend of Stefan, Robert Schultzberg, giving rise to Ashtray Heart. In 1995, the name changed to Placebo. The band began to gain projection, and in November of that year released her first single. During this period, they opened shows for big bands and small concerts were to disclosure.
