Nascida em São Gonçalo, Niterói (RJ), sua família freqüentava rodas de serestas, o que despertou seu interesse pela música. Depois de cursar alguns períodos na faculdade de comunicação, foi para a França, onde viveu por três anos. Lá estudou Letras e Música, notadamente técnica vocal. De volta ao Brasil, gravou o primeiro disco, “Selma Reis”, independente. Mais tarde gravou outros dois discos, em 1990 e 1991. 1993 foi o ano do CD “Selma Reis”, gravado em Londres, um salto qualitativo em suas produções. Depois de uma carreira de discos independentes e alguns lançamentos pela Polygram, em 1995 passou a ser “disputada” por grandes gravadoras, que viram em sua voz potente uma boa possibilidade comercial. Selma privilegiou a liberdade em escolher seu próprio repertório e optou pelo pequeno selo MZA, do produtor Mazzola, por onde lançou “Todo Sentimento”, que, além da faixa-título, contém “Beco do Mota” (Milton Nascimento/ Fernando Brant), “Como Nossos Pais” (Belchior), “Ne Me Quite Pas” (Jacques Brel) e “Por Toda a Minha Vida” (Tom Jobim/ Vinicius), entre outras. No ano seguinte, “Achados e Perdidos” foi dedicado à obra de Gonzaguinha. Em 1999 foi a vez de “Ares de Havana”, com músicas cubanas, onde explora seu timbre de meio-soprano com tendências para o grave. Banda de thrash metal formada em 1984, em Belo Horizonte e mais popular nos Estados Unidos do que no Brasil, canta apenas em inglês. O primeiro disco, "Bestial Devastation", dividido com a também banda mineira Overdose, foi lançado em 1985 por um selo independente, seguido por "Morbid Visions" no ano seguinte. Com a entrada de Andreas Kisser na guitarra gravaram "Schizophrenia", que os projetou internacionalmente. No ano seguinte assinaram contrato com a gravadora americana Roadrunner e passaram a se dedicar a conquistar o mercado externo. "Beneath the Remains", lançado em 1989, foi aclamado pela crítica especializada e fez com que a banda se tornasse mais conhecida no Brasil e no resto do mundo, fora dos EUA. Em 1996 vieram ao Brasil pesquisar e gravar sons e ritmos das tribos indígenas para lançar "Roots". No mesmo ano, a saída do vocalista e líder Max Cavalera causou contratempos, pois a banda decidiu não se desfazer e teve que procurar um vocalista substituto, que acabou sendo Derrick Green, oficialmente parte da banda desde junho de 1998. "Against", lançado em 1998, foi o primeiro CD do grupo depois da saída do antigo vocalista. O álbum traz algumas experimentações interessantes, como a percussão do grupo japonês Kodo. Contudo, a obra reflete ainda um período conturbado para a banda. Em 2003, o Sepultura participou do festival Kaiser Music e teve a honra de dividir o palco com um dos grandes nomes da história do Rock Mundial, o Deep Purple. My Chemical Romance (geralmente abreviado para MCR ou My Chem) foi uma banda de rock dos Estados Unidos, formada em 2001, em New Jersey por Gerard Way (vocal), Ray Toro (guitarra solo), Frank Iero (guitarra base), Mikey Way (baixo).Os integrantes são oriundos de Belleville, Newark e Kearny em New Jersey.O nome da banda foi idéia de Mikey Way, que retirou-o do livro “Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance” de Irvine Welsh. A banda foi formada pelo vocalista Gerard Way e pelo ex-baterista Matt Pelissier. A primeira canção que eles escreveram foi Skylines and Turnstiles, escrita por Gerard, na qual ele fala sobre seus sentimentos sobre os Ataques terroristas de 11 de Setembro. Pouco tempo depois, Ray Toro, Mikey Way (irmão de Gerard) e Frank Iero se juntaram ao grupo. Gravaram seu primeiro álbum em 2002, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, pela Eyeball Records. Em 2005 foram destaque do Vans Warped Tour 2005, e também de sua primeira turnê com o Alkaline Trio. Trabalharam juntos com o The Used em um cover do Under Pressure, que foi lançada em impressões posteriores do álbum In Love and Death, do The Used. A canção foi gravada para um álbum que tinha como objetivo arrecadar fundos para ajudar as vítimas do Tsunami de 2004. O estilo musical da banda é muito debatido, mas de modo geral são misturados elementos de vários estilos, como hardcore melódico, rock alternativo, post-hardcore, rock ‘n roll e punk rock. Existe muita polêmica, por exemplo, sobre o uso do termo emo para descrever o estilo adotado pela banda. O vocalista da banda, Gerard Way, é casado com a baixista da banda Mindless Self Indulgence, Lyn-z, juntos tiveram uma filha, Bandit Lee Way. Bob Bryar deixou a banda no início de 2010. Em 17 de Setembro de 2010, a banda lançou no canal do YouTube um vídeo onde informava o nome do seu quarto álbum o Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys que será lançado no dia 22 de Novembro de 2010. No dia 28 de Setembro de 2010, lançaram o primeiro single do seu novo CD Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, que se chama “Na Na Na”, no dia 12 de Outubro foi a vez de “The Only Hope For Me Is You” segundo single a ser lançado. No dia 3 de Novembro eles divulgam um video com o trailer da música “SING” terceiro sigle do CD, no dia 4 de Novembro divulgam a musica “Zero Percent” que é B-side do CD, dia 5 de Novembro eles divulgam no Site oficial da banda a música “Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back”. O lançamento oficial do novo álbum, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, ocorreu no dia 22 de novembro de 2010, porém, dias antes, eles liberaram as faixas para serem ouvidas no site oficial da banda. My Chemical Romance (often shortened to MCR or My Chem) was an American rock band formed in 2001 in New Jersey by Gerard Way (vocals), Ray Toro (lead guitar), Frank Iero (rhythm guitar), Mikey Way (bass) .The members hail from Belleville, Newark and Kearny in New Jersey.O name of the band was the brainchild of Mikey Way, which withdrew the book "Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance" by Irvine Welsh. The band was formed by frontman Gerard Way and former drummer Matt Pelissier. Nascido em Patos, na Paraíba, Nairon é formado em Comunicação Social e Direito pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba. Especialista em piadas de matutos, começou a carreira de humorista em um grupo de dança folclórica na UFPB, onde recitava poesia de literatura de cordel e contava piadas entre um número e outro. Após apresentar-se em barzinhos e teatros, participou da Escolinha do Professor Raimundo a partir de 1998] (quando o programa foi transformado em um quadro do Zorra Total), da Rede Globo. Na ocasião, alterou o nome de seu personagem, de Zé Paraíba para Zé Lezin. Nairon atuou na "Escolinha" durante seis anos. Em 2004, Nairon Barreto apresentou um programa de televisão aos domingos, na TV Guararapes de Recife, chamado "A Bodega do Zé", além de um programa matutino na Rádio Clube do Recife. No ano seguinte, lançou seu primeiro DVD, intitulado Ze Lezin Com Platéia Vip, onde conta piadas. Ainda em 2005, criou o espetáculo "O Peru do Zé Lezin". Em 2006, realizou, durante a Copa do Mundo, o show "Zé Lezin na Copa e na Cozinha", com piadas e textos adaptados sobre futebol. No teatro, atuou na peça "Em Briga de Marido e Mulé Ninguém Mete", juntamente com o ator pernambucano Jeison Wallace (Cinderela). No espetáculo, Nairon e Jeison vivem um casal que resolve discutir a relação. Em 2008, lançou seu segundo DVD, intitulado Ze Lezin da Paraíba. O DVD foi gravado em Recife, no Teatro Guararapes. No mesmo ano, lançou os shows "O Fim da CPMF - Contribuição Para Minha Família", "A Fuleragem de Zé Lezin" e "A Volta para os que Não Foram". Em 2011 lançou o seu novo DVD Show A Saga de um Matuto.

Pedro e Thiago foi uma dupla sertaneja formada pelos cantores Pedro Leonardo e Thiago Gonçalves. No natal de 1998, a família Costa se reuniu na fazenda Talismã para as festividades, e os primos cantaram juntos pela primeira vez brincando de karaokê. A família ficou surpresa e festejou o talento dos meninos, que, assim como seus pais, Leonardo (pai de Pedro) e Leandro (pai de Thiago) sempre foram apaixonados pela música, e ainda crianças, não sabiam que não poderiam seguir outra profissão. Ainda adolescentes decidiram construir e trilhar o próprio caminho. Incentivados pelos familiares, começaram a estudar música. Seu primeiro álbum de estúdio foi lançado em 2002 com o título Toque de Mágica e que recebeu uma certificação de disco de outro pela ABPD. Em 2008, lançaram o primeiro DVD, Pedro e Thiago ao vivo, com sucessos como: Pra onde você for, Quatro semanas de amor, Toque de mágica etc. O DVD também contou com participação do cantor Leonardo, pai de Pedro. A dupla também fez uma homenagem à antiga dupla Leandro & Leonardo com o pout porri “É por você que eu canto, aqueles olhos e amores são coisas da vida”. No início de 2011, a dupla lançou o último álbum da dupla, Na Estrada Como você nunca viu.
