Skrew é uma influente banda de metal industrial. Formada em 1990 e dissolvida em 1998, o grupo anunciou seu retorno em 2009. Skrew foi formada em 1990, em Austin, Texas, por Adam Grossman (guitarras / vocais / programação) e Danny Lohner (guitarra / back vocal / programação). A banda surgiu das cinzas de cruzamento banda thrash Angkor Wat, dos quais Grossman e Lohner eram membros. Skrew recrutou músicos locais na área de Austin, assim como Al Jourgensen do Ministry, para gravar e produzir seu álbum de estréia 1991 Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame. O álbum teve um bom desempenho comercial e recebeu elogios dos críticos. Skrew is an influential industrial metal band. Formed in 1990 and disbanded in 1998, the group announced their return in 2009. Skrew was formed in 1990 in Austin, Texas by Adam Grossman (guitars/vocals/programming) and Danny Lohner (guitars/background vocals/programming). The band emerged from the ashes of crossover thrash band Angkor Wat, of which Grossman and Lohner were members. Skrew recruited local musicians in the Austin area, as well as Ministry's Al Jourgensen, to record and produce their 1991 debut album Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame. The album performed well commercially and received critical acclaim. It was during this period that Lohner left the band initially auditioning for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, before being signed by Nine Inch Nails. Skrew began work on their second release, which was in 1994. This album had the addition of keyboardist Jim Vollentine, who would remain with the band for the rest of their career. Like its predecessor, Dusted was highly praised by critics and fans alike, and is still considered a classic in the field of industrial metal by many fans of the genre. The band's music then underwent a significant change, the result of which was the 1996 album Shadow of Doubt. Banda de rock formada em São Paulo no início dos anos 80 com o nome Titãs do Iê-Iê-Iê, consolidou-se como uma das mais importantes e criativas do rock brasileiro. O primeiro disco saiu em 1984, e teve um grande sucesso: "Sonífera Ilha". O segundo seguiu a mesma linha pop, emplacando "Insensível". Nos discos seguintes criaram um estilo próprio mesclando elementos de rock'n'roll, punk, hard rock, pop, jovem guarda. "Cabeça Dinossauro", de 1986, considerado um disco básico do BRock, com "AA UU", "Igreja", "Polícia", "Cabeça Dinossauro" e "Bichos Escrotos". Em seguida, "Jesus Não Tem Dentes no País dos Banguelas" corroborou a permanência da banda no cenário roqueiro brasileiro, emplacando diversos hits: "Comida", "Diversão", "Desordem", "Lugar Nenhum". O quinto disco da banda, "Go Back", foi gravado ao vivo no festival de Montreux, na Suíça, e deu início à carreira internacional. Em "Õ Blésq Blom", ao mesmo tempo em que se pode detectar um começo de experimentalismo, como "O Pulso" e "O Camelo e o Dromedário", há a continuação da trajetória rock, um pouco menos pesada, com "Miséria" e "Flores". "Tudo ao Mesmo Tempo Agora", de 1991, é o último disco que conta com Arnaldo Antunes, que saiu em carreira solo. O disco seguinte, "Titanomaquia", revela uma influência grunge na banda, emplacando poucos sucessos. "Domingo" (1995) é a adesão do Titãs ao pop dos anos 90, o que só se confirma com o super sucesso de vendas que aconteceu com o CD "Acústico MTV", com versões não amplificadas dos grandes sucessos "Go Back", "Comida", "Família", "O Pulso", "Marvin" e outros. A banda fez mais de 300 shows pelo Brasil acompanhados de orquestra para divulgar o acústico. O sucesso foi tão grande que os Titãs decidiram repetir a dose no álbum seguinte. "Volume 2", lançado em outubro de 1998, trazia mais músicas antigas com arranjos acústicos. Therapy? é uma banda de metal alternativo de Larne, Reino Unido. A banda foi formada em 1989 pelo guitarrista e vocalista Andy Cairns de Ballyclare eo baterista-vocalista Fyfe Ewing de Larne, Irlanda do Norte. Therapy? is an alternative metal band from Larne, UK. The band was formed in 1989 by guitarist and vocalist Andy Cairns from Ballyclare and drummer-vocalist Fyfe Ewing from Larne, Northern Ireland.
