A Capoeira Angola é um dos traço da manifestação da África Bantu no Brasil. Ela conserva sua essência no N’golo, ritual de passagem a vida adulta, onde as jovens são disputadas entre os jovens guerreiros das tribos e quem melhor se sobressair cabe o direito de escolher sua esposa dentre as jovens sem o pagamento do dote matrimonial. A movimentação dos jogadores, visivelmente inspiradas em movimentos de animais silvestres, oferece uma grande liberdade e variedade de recursos aplicáveis às diversas situações do jogo que se desenvolve como uma trama, com diferentes passagens. O Capoeirista demonstra sua superioridade no espaço da roda, levando o adversário à confusão com perigo e a complexidade dos seus movimentos. Os capoeiristas devem harmonizar o clima do jogo com o momento da roda, ou seja, jogar de acordo com o toque e o retorno que está sendo tocado pela orquestra, com o sentimento dos versos que estão sendo entoados pelo puxador e pelo côro. O guitarrista Fernando Noronha desde 1995, vem construindo uma sólida carreira autoral ao lado da banda Black Soul. Nestes 17 anos, já gravaram sete discos e se apresentaram em clubes e bares de blues ao redor do mundo e nos principais festivais nacionais e internacionais de Blues e Jazz, levando sua música para países como Argentina, Chile, Bélgica, Holanda, França, Alemanha, Espanha, Itália, Noruega, Canadá, Suíça, Polônia, República Tcheca, Estônia e Áustria. Nesse circuito internacional, FN&BS tiveram a oportunidade e o prazer de trabalhar e tocar ao lado de nomes como B.B.King, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Jeff Healey, Coco Montoya, Chris Duarte, Little Jimmy King, Ron Levy e Phil Guy, entre outros. Influenciado por Albert King, Freddie King , T-Bone Walker, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Rory Gallagher e Johnny Winter, Fernando Noronha busca sua própria sonoridade e traz algo de novo e original em suas composições. O trabalho mais recente do grupo, Meet Yourself, com doze músicas inéditas, produzido por Luciano Leães , mostra porque FN&BS vem se aproximando cada vez mais de sua própria sonoridade. Fernando Noronha foi escolhido pela Revista Rolling Stone para figurar entre 70 Mestres Brasileiros da Guitarra e do Violão: “O guitarrista da banda Black Soul já se consolidou como um dos principais músicos de blues do Brasil. Frente à banda, ele tocou nos quatro cantos do mundo, abrindo para B. B. King, Buddy Guy, Jeff Healey e outros mestres”. Em 2011, Fernando Noronha & Black Soul fizeram sua 10° turnê pela Europa. Desta vez os gaúchos abriram um novo mercado em terras Bálticas, mais precisamente na Estônia. Foram nove shows em três semanas, com destaque para o Augusti Bluus Festival 2011, um dos maiores do gênero no país, realizado nas ruínas do castelo medieval de Haapsalu. Lá, dez mil pessoas puderam conferir as mais recentes composições do CD “Meet Yourself”, além do blues feito no sul do Brasil. “Meet Yourself” recebeu os Prêmios Açorianos de melhor disco, melhor intérprete, melhor instrumentista e compositor no estilo blues e jazz.
