Confesso que eu mesmo nunca tinha ouvido de um disco deste solista de cavaquinho. Embora pouco citado, Benedito Costa é considerado um dos grandes nomes do Choro. Segundo pesquisas realizadas, não existem muitas informações sobre ele. Sabe-se que era um maestro, compositor, arranjador e produtor paulista, da região de Ribeirão Preto. Tocou ao lado dos maiores chorões, participando de diversos discos, gravações e apresentações ao vivo. Segundo contam, foi ele o criador do cavaquinho de cinco cordas, sendo considerado um virtuoso deste instrumento. O disco Delicado, foi gravado e lançado originalmente em 1968. Em 1983, o mercado para o Choro estava em alta e ele foi novamente relançado. O repertório vem com alguns clássicos ao lado de composições próprias da melhor qualidade. Com estes dois chartbreakers, Jeronimo subiu para a posição número 1 em quase todos os países europeus. Em 1970 Jerônimo e "Steppenwolf" excursionaram com sucesso pela Alemanha e no mesmo ano Jeronimo participou do lendário "Progressive Pop Festival", em Colonia. Depois disso, Jeronimo compartilhou as manchetes com grupos como o "Deep Purple" e "Golden Earrings" em vários festivais europeus ao ar livre. Em 1970, Jeronimo, juntamente com Creedence Clearwater Revival, apresentou o álbum "Spirit Orgaszmus", que foi um sucesso em toda a Europa. Depois de 30 anos e milhões de discos vendidos em todo o mundo, Jeronimo ainda é cult. Em 1999/2000, seus sucessos "Na Na Hey Hey" e "Ele Ya" foram relançados em inúmeras compilações.
