Mountain foi uma banda de hard rock norte-americana, ativa no princípio dos anos 70. Fundada em 1969 pelo guitarrista Leslie West e o baixista e produtor do Cream, Felix Pappalardi. O grupo era um trio composto de Leslie West na guitarra, Felix Pappalardi no baixo e Corky Laing na bateria, logo depois vindo a somar ao grupo Steve Knight no teclado. O vocal cru de West, a bateria fluente de Laing e as linhas de baixo pesadas de Pappalardi formavam o som distintivo do Mountain. A banda se apresentou no Festival de Woodstock mas não foi incluída no filme ou na trilha sonora. O Moutain recebeu uma certa aclamação da crítica mas nunca conseguiu alcançar sucesso comercial. A faixa título de seu álbum Nantucket Sleighrid foi usada como tema do programa britânico Weekend World, que foi transmitido entre 1972 e 1986. Mountain was an American hard rock band, active in the early 70. Founded in 1969 by guitarist Leslie West and bassist and producer of Cream, Felix Pappalardi. The group was a trio composed of Leslie West on guitar, Felix Pappalardi on bass and Corky Laing on drums, soon after coming to add to Steve Knight group on the keyboard. The raw vocals West, fluent battery Laing and heavy bass lines Pappalardi formed the distinctive sound of the Mountain. The band performed at the Woodstock Festival but was not included in the film or the soundtrack. The Moutain received some critical acclaim but never achieved commercial success. The title track of his album Nantucket Sleighrid was used as the theme of the British program Weekend World, which was broadcast between 1972 and 1986.
