Astromato veio de Campinas, SP, fazia roque em português desde 1998 e lançou seu primeiro disco, “Melodias de uma estrela falsa” (1999) pelo midsummer madness. A banda começou mesmo em 1994, época do 1º JUNTATRIBO, festival independente que agitou a UNICAMP e o Brasil durante 3 dias naquele ano. O Weed (primeiro nome do Astromado) era uma típica guitar band brasileira daquela época: derivação dos ídolos, inglês abrasileirado e umas poucas fitas gravadas. Dai Pedro, um dos 3 fundadores (os outros dois são Armando e Fabrício) teve de morar fora do Brasil por 9 meses, voltando em 1998 com, ora veja, várias letras e músicas em português! Num churrasco descobriram que cantar em português mas continuar fazendo roque indie-saxão seria a melhor escolha, fumaram a Weed e fizeram crescer o Astromato. Não demorou muito para gravarem a primeira fita, intitulada “Astromato” que traz as versões originais para Cadeia Alimentar, No Macio, no gostoso, Canção do Adolescente, Através da Chuva e Só não sabe disso. O CD traz 17 músicas e foi todo feito pela banda usando recursos e habilidades já usadas em prol de outras bandas locais. Fabrício (baixo e voz) fez a capa; Armando (guitarra e voz) foi técnico de estúdio e Pedro (guitarra e voz) tirou algumas das fotos que estão no encarte. Melodias… deixa clara a influência de Jesus & Mary Chain quando entra a gravação definitiva de No Macio No Gostoso com sua bateria eletrônica utilizada com uma simplicidade eficiente, define o bom gosto e a leveza das letras. Astromato came from Campinas, SP, was castled in Portuguese since 1998 and released their first album, "Melodies of a false Star" (1999) by midsummer madness. The band really started in 1994, when the 1st JUNTATRIBO, independent festival that shook the UNICAMP and Brazil for 3 days in that year. The Weed (first name Astromado) was a typical Brazilian guitar band from that era: Derivation of idols, abrasileirado English and a few tapes. Dai Pedro, one of the 3 founders (the other two are Armando and Fabricio) had to live outside of Brazil for 9 months, returning in 1998, now look at several music and lyrics in Portuguese! A barbecue discovered that singing in Portuguese but keep doing indie rock-Saxon would be the best choice, smoked Weed and did grow Astromato. It took forever to record the first tape, titled "Astromato" that brings the original versions for Food Chain, The Soft in tasty Song Adolescents, Through the Rain and I just do not know it. The CD features 17 songs and it was all done by the band using resources and skills already used in support of other local bands. Fabrizio (bass and vocals) made the cover; Armando (guitar and vocals) was studio technician and Peter (guitar and voice) took some of the photos that are in the booklet. Lobão, nome artístico de João Luiz Woerdenbag Filho é um cantor, compositor, escritor, multi-instrumentista, editor de revista e apresentador de televisão. Sua carreira musical é marcada por grandes parcerias; compôs sucessos como "Me Chama", canção muito famosa na voz de vários intérpretes, que ficou na 47ª posição das maiores músicas brasileiras, segundo a Rolling stone, e "Vida Louca Vida", conhecida na voz de Cazuza. Apesar de ter surgido e conseguido sucesso no ambiente marginal e underground do rock brasileiro nos anos 1980, Lobão vem dialogando com diversos gêneros, como o samba, ao longo de sua carreira. Em 1988, por exemplo, o disco Cuidado! contou com a participação da percussão da Estação Primeira de Mangueira. Lobão nasceu em 1957, no Rio de Janeiro, filho de uma professora de inglês e um mecânico. Pelo lado paterno Lobão é descendente de holandeses. Também tem uma irmã caçula que mora na Holanda. Segundo o próprio cantor, o apelido "Lobão" surgiu ainda na escola, devido a ser guloso e à mania de se vestir com um macacão de jardineiro preso por um alça só. Na vida pessoal, Lobão teve problemas no relacionamento com os pais. Foi expulso de casa pelo pai, aos 19 anos. Levou um cruzado na cara e rebateu com o violão, despedaçando-o inteiro em cima do pai (“...Só sosseguei quando não havia mais violão para continuar batendo.”). Depois disso, a relação dos dois ficou suspensa, “num limbo relacional”. Muitos anos mais tarde, eles tiveram uma bela tarde de sábado juntos. Logo depois o pai se matou, envenenado, em 2004. Lobão também carregou a culpa pela morte da mãe, em 1983. Após uma discussão, ela (bipolar) parou com os remédios que tomava três vezes por dia — “uma forma sutil e profissional de se matar”, como ele diz. A mãe deixou uma carta responsabilizando-o por sua morte. Sua carreira começou aos dezessete anos, depois de sair de casa para se tornar músico profissional. Participou de uma peça teatral e em seguida entrou para a banda Vímana, da qual também faziam parte Lulu Santos, Ritchie, Luis Paulo e Fernando Gama. Três anos depois, com o fim do grupo, Lobão seguiu sua carreira de baterista, tocando com Luiz Melodia, Walter Franco e Marina Lima. Fundou a banda Blitz com Evandro Mesquita, Fernanda Abreu e outros, mas por diferenças ideológicas, saiu do grupo antes mesmo do sucesso comercial. No final de 2010, o cantor lançou sua biografia, 50 Anos a Mil, com o jornalista Claudio Tognolli. O livro conta histórias inéditas e conhecidas sobre a vida do músico, além das letras de duas canções, Song for Sampa, em homenagem a São Paulo, e Das Tripas, Coração, em homenagem a Júlio Barroso (1953 - 1984), Cazuza (1958 - 1990) e a Ezequiel Neves (1935 - 2010). Junto com seu livro, Lobão, em parceria com a Sony Music, montou um box com três CDs mais o DVD do Acústico MTV, contendo as canções mais significativas dos 10 primeiros anos de sua carreira, todas as músicas escolhidas por ele e remasterizadas pelo produtor americano Roy Cicala, famoso por trabalhar com grandes nomes do rock mundial, como John Lennon e Jimi Hendrix, e com os brasileiros Nasi e Ciro Pessoa. No mesmo ano, Lobão excursionou com a turnê "Elétrico 2011", que gerou o CD e DVD Lobão Elétrico: Lino, Sexy & Brutal (Ao Vivo em SP), gravado em outubro de 2011, no Citibank Hall, em São Paulo. Biquini Cavadão é uma banda de rock brasileira formada em 1983 no Rio de Janeiro. Atualmente composto por Bruno Gouveia, Carlos Coelho, Miguel Flores e Álvaro “Birita” Lopes tendo como músicos convidados o baixista e Produtor Marcelo Magal e o saxofonista Walmer Carvalho, a banda fez parte da segunda geração de bandas dos anos 1980. Em 1983, Bruno, Álvaro e Miguel, colegas de terceiro ano do Colégio São Vicente de Paulo, decidiram tocar, junto com mais alguns amigos, num sarau, uma espécie de festival de música. Com o sucesso de sua apresentação, eles decidiram fazer daquela ousadia um habito. Após muitas formações, receberam do amigo Herbert Vianna a sugestão do nome Biquini Cavadão. Bruno passou apenas a cantar, Miguel assumiu totalmente o teclado e Alvaro foi novamente chamado para o grupo, desta vez tocando bateria, ao invés de violão. Após vários meses fizeram Tédio, e esta música foi o chamariz para que Carlos Beni (ex-Kid Abelha) insistisse em gravá-los.A demo, que contou com Herbert na guitarra, foi parar na Rádio Fluminense FM , berço de várias bandas de rock nos anos 1980. O sucesso da demo, os levou à Polygram para gravar um compacto no começo de 85. Faltava um guitarrista: Carlos Coelho apareceu logo após o segundo show profissional realizado pela banda. A sua integração se deu rapidamente colaborando nas composições e gravando todos os programas de TV. Influenciados pelas bandas punks do final dos anos 70 e início dos anos 80, o grupo foi formado em 1982 na cidade de Mauá (uma das cidades que compõem a região do Grande ABC, em São Paulo). Naquela época estávamos no auge do movimento punk no Brasil e várias bandas surgiam principalmente nos grandes centros urbanos. A primeira apresentação dos Garotos aconteceu em 1983 na cidade de Santo André num evento que reuniu vários grupos de vários estilos musicais em prol do Fundo de Greve dos Metalúrgicos do ABC, daí para frente começaram a participar de vários eventos pela região. A primeira gravação aconteceu em 1984 quando foram convidados a participar de uma coletânea em cassete com as bandas: Corte Marcial, Infratores e Grito de Alerta. Em 1985 entraram em estúdio para gravar o que seria uma demo-tape. Foram gravadas e mixadas catorze músicas em doze horas num estúdio de oito canais, e o resultado foi considerado tão bom para os padrões da época que onze destas músicas acabaram se tornando o primeiro álbum da banda, intitulado “Mais Podres do que Nunca” editado pelo extinto selo Rocker e no ano seguinte pelo extinto selo Lup-Som. Esse disco chegou a marca das 50.000 cópias vendidas, um recorde de vendagem de discos independentes na época e continua sendo distribuido em cd até hoje. Estávamos em plena ditadura militar e a Censura Federal tentava cumprir o seu papel. Apenas a música “Johnny” foi censurada, sendo proibida a sua execução. As músicas: “Papai-Noel Filho da Puta” e “Maldita Polícia” foram mudadas propositalmente pelos Garotos para burlar a censura . Dessa gravação três músicas foram incluídas na coletânea “Ataque Sonoro” editada pelo selo Ataque Frontal com várias bandas punks brasileiras,entre elas: Ratos de Porão, Cólera, Lobotomia, Grinders, Vírus 27 , etc. A partir daí a banda Garotos Podres se tornou muito popular, abrangendo não apenas a cena punk mas também o mais variado tipo de público, se tornando a primeira banda punk do Brasil a ter suas músicas veiculadas na programação normal de algumas rádios.
