A banda espanhola Dark Moor foi formada no ano de 1993 pelos guitarristas Enrik García e Javier Rubio, e após algumas idas e vindas e a gravação de uma série de demos, a formação do grupo se estabiliza com Elisa Martín, Albert Maroto, Enrik García, Anan Kaddouri e Jorge Saez. A banda decide então adicionar um tecladista, cargo que passa a ser ocupado por Roberto Peña. A banda também participou do álbum The Keepers of Jericho, de tributo à banda alemã de power metal Helloween. Depois que lançou Shadowland (1999), ganhando grande reconhecimento por onde passou, eles fazem uma turnê pela Espanha com os fodáticos do Demons & Wizards (Hansi Kürsch e Jon Schaffer), ganhando uma legião de fans ainda maior. Esse álbum mostra mais maturidade dos integrantes e garantindo Elisa como uma referencia para vocalistas de metal que não faz o lírico. Já com o mercado sólido na Espanha, Japão e até mesmo no Brasil. Eles lançam Beyond The Sea. Um álbum que se destaca grande qualidade e técnica dos integrantes da banda, principalmente Alfred Romero que estava finalmente parando de imitar Elisa. Enrik García e Javier Rubio mostram que estão bem coesos e se transformando em grandes guitaristas que baseam suas melodias em músicas clássicas. Mostrando que o álbum é um prato cheio de Pomposas canções. Com a saída de Javier Rúbio, parece que o barco ia naufragar, assim diziam alguns. Para dar um exemplo da importancia do cara para banda, vamos dizer que ele era como o Kiko Loureiro para o Angra. Mas essas pessoas não esperavam que no inicio de 2007 um novo Dark Moor estaria varrendo quarterões com um dos melhores álbuns do ano. Tarot, é um álbum moderno, poderoso e diferente. Bem equilibrado e equalizado, mostra que Enrike Gárcia era o monstro por trás de tudo. O cara simplesmente mudou de nível nas guitarras! A Perfect Circle é um grupo americano formado em 1999 na Califórnia, EUA, por Billy Howerdel e o vocalista da banda Tool, Maynard James Keenan. A formação original da banda também incluia Paz Lenchantin no baixo, Troy Van Leeuwen na guitarra e Tim Alexander na bateria. Nascida em Juiz de Fora, a cantora, compositora, arranjadora, violonista e percussionista Ana Carolina começou cantando nos bares de sua cidade e teve seus primeiros espetáculos produzidos pela atriz e cantora Zezé Motta. Sua voz de timbre grave chamou a atenção de Luciana de Moraes, filha de Vinicius, que resolveu apostar em sua carreira. O Grupo Cultural AfroReggae é uma organização não governamental fundada em 1993 com a missão de promover a inclusão e a justiça social por meio da arte, da cultura afro-brasileira e da educação. O grupo tem como um dos principais objetivos despertar potencialidades artísticas de jovens das camadas populares. A iniciativa aumenta a autoestima dos jovens moradores de favelas, além de gerar renda, afastando-os da influência do tráfico. Luiz Fernando Lopes, mais conhecido como Tekko Rastafari e José Pereira de Oliveira Junior foram os primeiros a acreditar na ideia de formar a organização e dar os passos iniciais. José Junior começou sua carreira promovendo festas de funk e reggae no Centro do Rio de Janeiro, o que despertou seu talento nato como empreendedor social. Com o surgimento do jornal impresso Afro Reggae Notícias, a vontade de descriminalizar as ruas e difundir a cultura afro se consolidou e em 28 de setembro de 1993, um mês após a chacina de Vigário Geral, começou um trabalho que deu início a uma nova forma de educação e inclusão da favela como parte da cidade. E foi justamente na favela de Vigário Geral, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, em que a ONG iniciou o seu trabalho e inaugurou seu primeiro Núcleo Comunitário de Cultura, o Centro Cultural Waly Salomão. Inicialmente, o grupo passou a oferecer oficinas de reciclagem de lixo, percussão e de dança afro dentro da favela. O trabalho da instituição se expandiu e alcançou os moradores das favelas de Parada de Lucas, Cantagalo, complexo de favelas do Alemão, da Penha e outros municípios como Nova Iguaçu (RJ). O AfroReggae, durante toda a sua história tem desenvolvido projetos em áreas pobres, violentas e muitas vezes comandadas pelo tráfico de drogas. A exclusão e as diversas privações sociais podem fazer de crianças e jovens vítimas fáceis para contruibuir com a criminalidade. O AfroReggae existe para transformar a dura realidade que essas crianças e jovens estão submetidos nas favelas da cidade - sem direitos, sem oportunidades e sem futuro. Além da atuação nos núcleos, por meio de oficinas, aulas, eventos, entre outros, o grupo também trabalha na formação de grupos artísticos, desenvolve projetos, programas de televisão, publicações sobre temáticas sociais, entre outros. Em 2013, comemorando os 20 anos de trabalho, o AfroReggae abriu a primeira sede fora do Rio de Janeiro, um escritório de representação em São Paulo. Além disso, expande sua metodologia de trabalho social pelo mundo todo. As oficinas do AfroReggae já foram multiplicadas em países como a Índia, Colômbia, China, Inglaterra, França e em Cabo Verde, na África, a convite da ONU.
