De família muito simples, Eduardo Costa nasceu em 13/12/1978 em Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Não se deixou intimidar pela vida sofrida que levava e, aos oito anos de idade, saiu de casa em busca de seus sonhos: tornar-se um grande cantor da música sertaneja e melhorar as condições de vida de sua família. Por acompanhar seus familiares - que são em sua maioria músicos - em festas como a Folia de Reis, Eduardo Costa, descobriu a sua paixão pela música sertaneja ainda na infância, aos cinco anos de idade. Aos quatorze começou a cantar profissionalmente, destacando-se em sua família onde ninguém seguiu carreira artística profissional. Autodidata e apaixonado pela música sertaneja, Eduardo Costa é tido como um caipira nato até no jeito de se expressar, preservando suas origens. Além de cantor, Eduardo Costa é um grande compositor e toca vários instrumentos, entre eles aquele que é a sua verdadeira paixão: a viola caipira.
