A paixão de tocar jazz no estilo Dixieland fez com que um grupo de professores suíços radicados no Brasil formasse, em 1975, a Swiss College Dixie Band. Heinz (piano) é o único que restou da formação inicial, e não foi por acaso: dentro de si, traz aquilo que sempre fez parte e que é o elementro principal da banda: amizade, alegria e descontração. Aliás, depois de mais de 30 anos (de Banda, não de Heinz), o slogan tambem continua o mesmo: “O Jazz tocado com alegria”. O Jazz tem origens populares. É a expressão das alegrias e tristezas, das emoções de seus criadores: os negros norte-americanos que tinham na música a válvula de alívio para sua vida de escravidão. Embora as primeiras expressões musicais que levaram à formação do Jazz tenham conotação de angústia e tristeza (como o Blues e as Worksongs), outras expressões (como o Ragtime) se misturaram para fundir o que acabou resultando no Jazz que conhecemos. O espírito que predominou no Jazz no início foi então o da alegria, música para o povo se divertir, dançar, curtir. The passion of playing Dixieland jazz style made a group of teachers Swiss living in Brazil formed in 1975, the Swiss College Dixie Band. Foi de Pernambuco para o Rio de Janeiro aos 15 anos escondido em um navio, e lá ficou trabalhando na construção civil. Tocava percussão desde criança e logo entrou em um bloco carnavalesco, onde um dos componentes o levou para a Rádio Clube do Brasil, em 1950. A partir daí passou a atuar como compositor, instrumentista e cantor, gravando seu primeiro compacto e 1969 e o primeiro LP seis anos depois. Inicialmente gravou cocos sem sucesso. Mas a partir da série Partido Alto Nota 10 começou a encontrar seu público. O repertório de seus discos passou a ser abastecido por autores anônimos (alguns usando codinomes para preservar a clandestinidade) e Bezerra notabilizou-se por um estilo "sambandido", precursor mesmo do "gangsta rap" norte-americano. Antes do hip hop brasileiro, ele passou a transmitir do outro lado da trincheira da guerra civil não declarada: "Malandragem Dá um Tempo", "Seqüestraram Minha Sogra", "Defunto Cagüete", "Bicho Feroz", "Overdose de Cocada", "Malandro Não Vacila", "Meu Pirão Primeiro", "Lugar Macabro", "Piranha", "Pai Véio 171", "Candidato Caô Caô". J. Mascis é um músico estadunidense, provavelmente mais conhecido como vocalista, guitarrista, compositor e líder do grupo Dinosaur Jr. Mascis também é produtor e compositor de trilhas sonoras. Nascido em Amherst, Massachussets, Mascis fundou o grupo de hardcore Deep Wound, que teve curta existência, com seus colegas de escola Lou Barlow e Scott Helland no começo dos anos 80. Ele começou tocando bateria [1], mas preferiu a guitarra quando fundou o Dinosaur Jr., com Barlow no contrabaixo e Patrick “Murph” Murphy na bateria, em 1984, atingindo fama e sucesso mundiais. Seus vocais são considerados muito parecidos com os de Neil Young [2], e seus riffs de guitarra são chamados “monolíticos”. Depois que Mascis dispensou Barlow da banda em 1989, ele gravou diversos álbuns com o Dinosaur Jr. até 1997, e um álbum solo acústico de 1996 chamado “Martin & Me”. Mascis and the Fog, chamado “More Light”. O faturamento do álbum vai todo para o resgate das vítimas do tsunami promovido por Ammachi. J. Mascis is an American musician, probably best known as the lead singer, guitarist, composer and leader of Dinosaur Jr. Mascis group is also producer and film composer. Pitty é uma banda brasileira de rock, formada por Pitty Leone, Martin Mendonça, Duda Machado, Guilherme Almeida e Paulo Kishimoto (teclados). A vocalista, Pitty, cuja banda leva o nome, nasceu em Salvador, Brasil no dia 7 de outubro de 1977. Algumas de suas influências são bandas como o The Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age e Muse. Cresceu em meio ao cenário de bandas baianas independentes e participou de várias rodas de shows em um bar de Salvador. Um dia, entrou na roda cantando Smells Like Teen Spirit do Nirvana e desde então decidiu investir na carreira musical, com o apoio do grande nome do cenário underground, Rogério Big Brother (dono do selo bigbross records). Sua primeira banda foi a Shes, onde foi a baterista por dois anos. Pitty também já tocou com a banda Inkoma por seis anos, mas dessa vez como vocalista. Em 2002, Pitty foi procurada pelo produtor musical Rafael Ramos para gravar seu primeiro álbum e em 2003 foi lançado o Admirável Chip Novo, vendendo mais de 700 mil cópias, além do álbum também foi lançado seu primeiro DVD em 2004, o Admirável Vídeo Novo, contendo clipes, imagens de bastidores e a banda no estúdio tocando covers de algumas bandas. Em 2005 foi lançado seu segundo álbum, Anacrônico, vendendo mais de 600 mil cópias. Lançado também em formato de DVD. Em 2007, após a turnê do Anacrônico, foi lançado o primeiro DVD ao vivo, (Des}concerto. Além de ser lançado nos formatos CD, DVD e DualDisc, o registro de show da banda foi também lançado em um modelo de aparelho celular, resultado de uma parceria com a Nokia, com isso Pitty recebeu o prêmio “Celular de Platina” pela vendagem de 450 mil aparelhos contendo seu álbum. Em 2009 foi lançado Chiaroscuro, o terceiro álbum de estúdio. O primeiro single do álbum, Me Adora, logo atingiu os primeiros lugares nas principais rádios brasileiras. Com o voto popular, Pitty levou vários prêmios no VMB da MTV Brasil, entre eles, Artista do ano por duas vezes, ganhou também os prêmios de Clipe do Ano, Show do Ano, três vezes seguidas como Vocalista da Banda dos Sonhos e muitos outros. Pitty ganhou aproximadamente 50 prêmios ao longo dos seus anos de carreira, 15 deles somente no VMB. Após três anos de pausa da banda Pitty e dedicação ao projeto paralelo, a cantora Pitty anunciou nas redes sociais que a sua banda principal está de volta, com shows já confirmado pela produção da banda. Sendo assim surgiu a divulgação do produtor britânico Tim Palmer nas redes sociais, revelando o término da mixagem dos singles do novo disco SETEVIDAS, que teve o lançamento no dia 3 de junho de 2014, em (CD e vinil) e no Itunes, o disco reúne 10 canções, todas inéditas e de autoria da cantora. Ainda em 2014, a cantora lança o livro “Pitty - Cronografia: Uma Trajetória em Fotos”, resultado de trabalho de alguns anos de Pitty e colegas fotógrafos, o livro de fotos conta a história da carreira da cantora, do comecinho até hoje. Através do álbum Setevidas, surge também o DVD ‘Pela Fresta’.
