Estopa é um dueto espanhol de pop/rock misturado com ritmos tradicionais espanhois formado pelos irmãos David Muñoz (1976) como vocalista e Jose Manuel Muñoz (1978) como guitarrista e co-vocalista. São oriundos do município de Cornellá de Llobregat, no bairro de San Ildefonso, em Barcelona, Espanha. Filhos de emigirados de Extremadura, mais precisamente do povoado de Zarza Capilla. Tiveram uma vendagem de 1.000.000 copias em seu primeiro disco, ganhando rápido conhecimento pelo público nacional espanhol, e em seguida se difundindo pela América Latina, principalmente México, Chile e Argentina. Seus demias discos seguiram a mesma fórmula básica: rock/pop com rumbas canallas e urbanas. Já venderam mais de 3.000.000 de discos nacional e internacionalmente à Espanha.

Os Gufs começou como uma banda de Eastside Milwaukee em 1988, com estudantes da Universidade de Wisconsin - Milwaukee Goran Kralj e Scott Schwebel. Kralj e Schwebel, companheiros de quarto e companheiros de equipe na equipe de futebol de UWM, recrutaram o irmão de Kralj mais jovem, Dejan Kralj e o amigo de escola Tony Luna, completar o quarteto no baixo e guitarra. Kralj and Schwebel , roommates and teammates on the football team of UWM , recruited younger brother Kralj , Dejan Kralj and school friend Tony Luna , completing the quartet on bass and guitar. The band took its name from a place where the soul of a baby comes before the child is born , a phrase used by Demi Moore in The Seventh Sign. After a few years playing in local bars in Milwaukee Eastside , the band's lineup changed , Luna left in 1990 to pursue a career as a sound engineer , paving the way for student from Marquette University and Milwaukee native Morgan Dawley to fill the vacancy . The band soon gained strength, doing shows more often over Milwaukee . The band also featured percussionist Brian Pettit on all their albums on Atlantic Records until the Release of " The Gufs " . After the album release and tour, Brian left the band to pursue other interests . The band came second in a band contest at Marquette University in 1991 .
