O Dimmu Borgir é uma das principais bandas norueguesas de Symphonic Black Metal e Black Metal Melódico sendo conhecidos pelos seus virtuosos arranjos de teclados, agressividade e qualidade. A formação ficou completa quando Stian Aarstad assumiu os teclados e Brynjard Tristan o baixo. No ano seguinte 1994, Lançam Inn I Evighetens Mørke um EP tornando a banda conhecida por toda a Europa . No mesmo ano 1994, lançaram um segundo EP For All Tid e foi considerada uma das principais bandas de Black Metal Norueguês. Em 1996 lançaram o seu primeiro álbum de estúdio, Stormblåst. Nesse mesmo ano, a banda sofre uma mudança na sua formação saíndo Brynjard Tristan e entrando Nagash. É depois lançado o terceiro EP Devil’s Path. No ano seguinte lançaram Enthrone Darkness Triumphant sendo este álbum marcado por melodias de um tom mais comercial, surgindo logo as críticas de a banda se ter vendido. The Dimmu Borgir is a leading Norwegian bands of Symphonic Black Metal and Black Metal Melodic are known for their virtuoso arrangements of keyboards, aggressiveness and quality. The training was complete when Stian Aarstad took over the keyboards and Brynjard Tristan low. The following year 1994 Launch Inn I Evighetens Mørke an EP making the band known throughout Europe. In the same year 1994 released a second EP For All Tid and was considered one of the Norwegian black metal bands. In 1996 they released their first studio album, Stormblåst. That same year, the band undergoes a change in its formation departing Brynjard Tristan and entering Nagash. It is then released the third EP Devil's Path. The following year launched Enthrone Darkness Triumphant album which is marked by melodies of a more commercial tone, appearing soon criticism of the band have sold.
