Banda de rock alternativo, originária de Santa Bárbara na Califórnia, emergiu a partir dos primeiros estágios de pós-grunge, originalmente composta por JR Richards (vocal), escocês Alexander (baixo), Rodney Browning (guitarra), Jim Wood (teclados), Jorge e Pendergast (bateria). Alcançaram notoriedade, logo no lançamento do primeiro álbum, “Pet Your Friends”, em 1995. O seu single era, “Counting Blue Cars”, de acordo com a Billboard Magazine, foi a música mais rodada nas rádios norte americanas no ano de 1996. Isso os fez a ser considerados como uma das bandas mais promissoras do rock alternativo. Em 1998, o lançamento do segundo álbum (“And You Think You Know What Life’s About”), no qual experimentaram novas sonoridades, voltando-se um pouco para o Punk. De entre os singles extraídos deste trabalho, o grande destaque vai para a balada “Until I Wake Up”. Já em 2002, com o lançamento de “Opaline”,o Dishwalla surge com uma nova sonoridade, agora na onda do Rock melódico e do romantismo do Rock alterantivo mais morderno, muito elogiado pela crítica, do qual se destacam baladas como “Home” e “Angels Or Devils”. They achieved notoriety, right after the release of their first album, “Pet Your Friends”, in 1995. Their single was, “Counting Blue Cars”, according to Billboard Magazine, it was the most popular song on North American radio in 1996 This made them to be considered as one of the most promising bands in alternative rock. In 1998, the release of the second album (“And You Think You Know What Life’s About”), in which they experimented with new sounds, turning a little to Punk. Among the singles extracted from this work, the highlight is the ballad "Until I Wake Up". In 2002, with the release of “Opaline”, Dishwalla emerged with a new sound, now in the wave of melodic Rock and the romanticism of the more mordant alterative Rock, highly praised by critics, of which ballads such as “Home” and "Angels Or Devils". Um dos “Três Kings” da guitarra Blues (junto com B.B. King e Freddie King), ele possuía uma figura imponente de 1,93m de altura e 118 kg. Nasceu Albert Nelson em uma família humilde em Indianola, Mississipi, em uma plantação de algodão onde trabalhou na sua juventude. Uma de suas primeiras influências musicais foi o pai, Will Nelson, que tocava guitarra. Durante sua infância, ele também cantava gospel em uma igreja local. Albert começou sua carreira profissional em um grupo chamado In the Groove Boys, em Osceola, Arkansas. Seu primeiro sucesso foi “I’m A Lonely Man”, lançado em 1959. Entretanto, foi apenas em 1961 com o lançamento de “Don’t Throw Your Love On Me So Strong” que seu nome tornou-se conhecido. Em 1966 King assinou contrato com a famosa gravadora Stax Records, e em 1967 lançou seu lendário álbum Born Under A Bad Sign. A guitarist with style "less is more", King was known to be able to take a single note more sense than most guitarists could of 1000. Albert King influenced thousands of guitarists, including famous musicians like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore. The soil Eric Clapton on the song "Strange Brew" (Cream, 1968) is a copy note-for-note King of soil in the song "Pretty Woman".
