Formado por Anderson (cavaquinho e voz), Andrezinho (percussão e voz), Claumirzinho (percussão e voz), Lúcio (baixo e voz) e Jimmy (voz e percussão). O grupo foi formado no Rio de Janeiro pelo produtor musical Bira Hawai, pai de Anderson. Antes de formar o grupo, Andrezinho e Anderson faziam juntos shows folclóricos no exterior, tocavam músicas de capoeira e acrobacias com o pandeiro. Apresentaram-se em vários países, entre eles Japão, até formarem o Molejo. No grupo, todos são filhos de músicos. Considerado por Paulinho da Viola como um dos novos expoentes do samba brasileiro e da MPB, lançou o primeiro CD, "Caçamba", que fez sucesso no Brasil inteiro, com destaque para a música "Paparico". Ao segundo CD, "Molejo dois", seguiram-se os discos "Não quero saber de tititi" (1997), "Brincadeira de criança" (1998) e "Família" (1999). Todos grandes sucessos, fazendo com que o grupo tivesse considerável destaque nas rádios e na mídia. Em 2010 lançou, pelo selo Universal Music, o DVD “Voltei”, que contou com as faixas inéditas “Voltei” e “Merci Bocu”. Participou da gravação do CD “Disney Adventures in Samba”, no qual o grupo interpretou a faixa “Eu vou” (Heigh-Ho), tema do filme “Branca de Neve e os Sete Anões”. The group was formed in Rio de Janeiro by music producer Bira Hawaii, father of Anderson. Before forming the group, Andrezinho and Anderson did together folkloric shows abroad, played capoeira music and acrobatics with the tambourine. Presented in various countries, including Japan, to form the Molejo. In the group, all are children of musicians. Considered by Paulinho da Viola as one of the new exponents of Brazilian samba and MPB, released the first CD, "Bucket", which enjoyed success throughout Brazil, highlighting the "Paparico" music. O seu terceiro álbum, “Moving Target” foi nominado para o Grammy Dinamarquês na categoria Best Rock Album, em 1996. Na Europa tocaram junto à banda de rock número um da Suíça, a Gotthard. Devido à forte demanda dos fãs lançaram em Setembro de 96 um álbum ao vivo duplo e um vídeo gravado ao vivo no Teatro Gotanda U-Port, em Tokyo. Além dos diversos prêmios individuais recebidos ao longo da carreira o Royal Hunt já recebeu prêmios de Best Live Performance no Japão e foram escolhidos para aparecer no programa musical de uma estação de TV japonesa local, a NHK (equivalente à CBS, NBC ou ABC), com resposta tão positiva que o programa terminou indo ao ar em cadeia mundial.
