Icehouse é uma banda de rock australiana, formada como Flores em 1977, em Sydney. Inicialmente conhecido na Austrália por seu estilo de rock pub, eles mais tarde o sucesso alcançado tocando new wave e synthpop música e alcançou Top 10 singles de sucesso, tanto na Europa e os EUA. A base de de Icehouse foi Iva Davies (cantor -compositora, produtora musical, guitarra, baixo, teclados, oboé) fornecendo músicos adicionais, conforme necessário. O Icehouse nome, que foi aprovado em 1981, vem de um velho, frio plana Davies vivido e do prédio do outro lado da estrada estranho habitado por pessoas itinerantes. Davies e Icehouse estendeu o uso de sintetizadores particularmente o Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 ("Amor em Movimento", 1981), Linn bateria eletrônica ("Hey Little Girl", 1982) e Fairlight CMI (trailer Razorback, 1983) na música popular australiano. Icehouse is an Australian rock band, formed as Flowers in 1977 in Sydney. Initially known in Australia for their pub rock style, they later achieved success playing new wave and synthpop music and attained Top 10 hit singles in both Europe and the USA. The base was Icehouse Iva Davies (singer-songwriter, record producer, guitar, bass, keyboards, oboe) supplying additional musicians as required. The name Icehouse, which was adopted in 1981, comes from an old, cold flat Davies lived in and the building across the road populated by itinerant stranger people. Davies and Icehouse extended the use of synthesizers particularly the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 ("Love in Motion", 1981), Linn drum machine ("Hey Little Girl", 1982) and Fairlight CMI (Razorback trailer, 1983) in Australian popular music .
