Ill Niño é uma banda de nu metal dos Estados Unidos formada em 1998 em Nova Jersey. É composta originalmente pelos brasileiros Cristian Machado, Daniel Couto, pelo multiétnico Ahrue Luster, os americanos Lazaro Pina, Diego Verduzco e o peruano Dave Chavarri. A banda foi formada em meados de 1998, quando lançaram um EP demo, com Jorge Rosado nos vocais e Cristian Machado no baixo. O EP foi intitulado El Niño, quando o nome da banda na época era El Niño, referente ao fenômeno meteorológico, mas foi em 1999 que haviam formalizado oficialmente. Com a saída de Rosado para a banda Merauder, os demais integrantes realizaram audições para encontrar um novo vocalista, e assim decidiram pela escolha de Christian. Mas a banda se vê obrigada a mudar de nome, porque este já estava sendo usado por outro grupo, então mudaram para Ill Niño. Em 2000, lançam outro EP demo, o primeiro que foi prontamente disponível ao público, que resultou pouco depois na assinatura com a Roadrunner Records. Em setembro de 2001, a banda lança seu álbum de estreia, intitulado Revolution Revolución. O single "What Comes Around", recebeu significativo apoio da MTV2 no final do ano. Para a divulgação desse álbum, a banda fazia parte dos festivais Ozzfest e Jägermeister de 2002. No início de 2003, pouco antes do Ill Niño gravar Revolution Revolución, o guitarrista Marc Rizzo e o baterista Roger Vasquez deixaram a banda, devido a conflitos pessoais e o desejo de prosseguirem com projetos diferentes. Rizzo ficou a bordo o tempo suficiente para gravar as guitarras para o novo álbum, e eles convidam o percussionista Daniel Couto para substituir Roger Vasquez para a gravação. Pouco antes do lançamento de Confession, a banda contratou Ahrue Luster, ex-Machine Head, para ocupar o lugar vago da guitarra. Em setembro de 2003, o grupo lança seu segundo álbum de estúdio, Confession, que estreia na 37ª posição na parada de álbuns Billboard 200. Neste ano, a banda recebeu mais exposição quando uma de suas novas canções, "How Can I Live", apareceu na trilha sonora de Freddy vs. Jason, um filme do diretor Ronny Yu. Ill Niño is a nu metal band from the United States formed in 1998 in New Jersey. It is originally composed by Brazilian Cristian Machado, Daniel Couto, by Ethnic Ahrue Luster, Americans Lazaro Pina, Diego Verduzco and the Peruvian Dave Chavarri. The band was formed in mid-1998, when they released an EP demo, with Jorge Rosado on vocals and Cristian Machado on bass. The EP was entitled El Niño, when the band's name at the time was El Niño weather phenomenon referring to, but it was in 1999 that they had officially formalized. With the departure of Rosado for Merauder band, the remaining members held auditions to find a new vocalist, and so decided by the choice of Christian. For the release of this album, the band was part of the festivals Ozzfest and Jägermeister 2002. Early 2003, just before Ill Niño Revolution Revolución record, guitarist Marc Rizzo and drummer Roger Vasquez left the band due to personal conflicts and the desire to continue with different projects. Rizzo stayed aboard long enough to record the guitars for the new album while, and they invite the percussionist Daniel Couto to replace Roger Vasquez for the recording. Shortly before the release of Confession, the band hired Ahrue Luster, ex-Machine Head, to occupy the vacant guitar. In September 2003, the group releases their second studio album, Confession, premiering at the 37th position on the Billboard album chart 200. This year, the band received more exposure when one of his new songs, "How Can I Live" appeared on the soundtrack of Freddy vs. Jason, a film director Ronny Yu. The album had sold over 110,000 copies in the United States in the first five months of release, until that moment being considered the best album of Ill Niño, in total about selling over 500,000 copies in that country. Udo Dirkschneider é um vocalista de heavy metal alemão, mais conhecido por sua passagem pela banda Accept. No incio dos años 70 Udo Dirkschneider juntamente com seu amigo Michael Wagener fundaram uma banda chamada Band X que mais tarde se tornaria o Accept. Wagner era o guitarrista da Band X mas resolveu deixar a guitarra de lado por julgar-se como “alguem que nao nasceu para o negocio” e foi trabalhar por tras das cortinas. Udo Dirkschneider is best known for its passage through the band Accept German heavy metal singer. In the early 70 Udo Dirkschneider along with his friend Michael Wagener founded a band called Band X, which later became the Accept. Wagner was the guitarist of the band X but decided to leave his guitar aside for judging yourself as "someone who is not born into the business" and was working from behind the curtains. Peter Edward "Ginger" Baker (19 de agosto de 1939 em Lewisham, Londres), é um percussionista inglês que tornou-se famoso como integrante dos Cream de 1966 a 1968 com Jack Bruce e Eric Clapton, e mais tarde fazendo parte do grupo Blind Faith. No começo dos anos 70, Baker viajou em turnê e gravou com sua própria banda, Ginger Baker's Air Force. A técnica de Baker chamou atenção por sua virtuosidade, técnica e o uso de tympani e outros instrumentos de percussão nunca antes usados no rock. Embora às vezes tocasse de maneira bombástica (similar àquela de Keith Moon do The Who), Baker também era capaz de tocar de forma mais contida, graças à sua experiência se apresentando com bandas de jazz inglesas durante o final dos anos 50 e começo dos 60, estabelecendo um novo patamar de profissionalismo entre os percussionistas de rock. Peter Edward "Ginger" Baker (August 19, 1939 in Lewisham, London) is an English percussionist who became famous as part of the 1966-1968 Cream with Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton, and later part of the group Blind Faith. In the early 70s, Baker toured and recorded with his own band, Ginger Baker's Air Force. Baker technique called attention for its virtuosity, technique and the use of tympani and other percussion instruments never before used in rock. Although sometimes touch of bombastic manner (similar to that of Keith Moon of The Who), Baker was also capable of playing more restrained, thanks to his experience performing with British jazz bands during the late 50's and early 60 , establishing a new level of professionalism among rock drummers. Baker also had long improvised soils (as in "toad") produced in their battery kit; he was one of the first musicians to use two bass drums, inspired by jazz drummer Louie Bellson. Since 1986 Ginger has released several albums and traveled on tour with numerous jazz stars, classical music and rock.
