Grupo soul americano formado pelo quinteto de irmãos (e irmã) Mark, Randy, James, El e Bunny DeBarge. Em 1981, assinaram com a Motown e gravaram seu primeiro ábum “The DeBarges”. Em meados da década de 1980 ganharam repercussão com os singles “All this love”, “Time will reveal” e “Who’s holding Donna now?”. Mas o principal sucesso foi “Rhythm of the night”, música composta por Diane Warren para a trilha do filme “O último dragão”, do proprietário da Motown, Barry Gordy. O quinteto de Ribeirão Preto, criado em 2006, é composto pelos músicos Daniel San, Júlio Fejuca, Ricardo Gama, Sudu Lisi e Zé da Paz. Desde o início, o grande diferencial do Sambô foi a ideia de repaginar, em samba, músicas já consagradas por outros artistas. Transformando grandes clássicos da música em um ritmo alegre e descontraído, a banda conquistou fãs de diferentes gostos musicais. Advindo de Salvador-BA, o grupo formado por Teago Oliveira (voz e guitarras), Rodrigo Damati (voz e baixo) e Felipe Dieder (bateria), tendo em sua constituição original Teago Oliveira (voz e guitarras), Léo Brandão (teclado e guitarras) Nery Leal (baixo) e Felipe Dieder (bateria). Conceitualmente, fazem um rock “tropical”, sem, contudo, desacreditar do pop, levantando a bandeira de que pode – e deve! – haver qualidade no mercado popular. Com participação assídua em festivais de todos os portes como o FUN Music, de São Paulo (3º lugar, em 2009), Coca-Cola Zero – Desafio das Bandas (1º lugar, em 2009), Big Bands (2010), Feira Noise (2010), Festival de Verão Salvador (2010) e Rock de Cordel, em Fortaleza (2011), a Maglore veio, desde o seu início, ganhando o respeito e atenção do público e crítica. Além dos festivais, o grupo tem público cativo nos shows em Salvador e outras cidades da Bahia, se consagrando como destaque na cena independente baiana. Em âmbito nacional, o grupo tem viajado bastante e está acostumado a circular pelas casas de shows de vários Estados, principalmente no sudeste e nordeste. O contingente de pessoas que, a cada dia, descobre o Maglore e suas músicas, está crescendo. Em que pese independente, a banda sabe aproveitar as ferramentas que lhe estão à disposição para divulgar seu trabalho. Utilizando-se das mais diversas redes sociais, o grupo vem formando seu público, abrangendo fãs de todo o país. Com a virada do ano de 2011 a banda lança seu primeiro álbum, intitulado “Veroz”, feito de forma integralmente independente. A obra, musicalmente bastante heterogênea, é uma compilação de várias fases do grupo, misturando-se as canções do EP (2009) com novas composições e vertentes estéticas variadas do quarteto, de modo que as 13 músicas sintetizam toda a variação musical que a banda propõe. O disco, cuja produção é assinada novamente pelo renomado Jorge Solovera, chileno radicado em Salvador-BA, tem um conceito bem construído, que se reflete tanto nas músicas quanto na arte visual. Inspirado na obra do argentino Diego Gravinese (www.diegogravinese.com), o designer Igor Alessandro Andrade usou sua autenticidade para compor uma capa intrigante, conectada a um encarte extremamente autêntico, que conta a cada página a história das pessoas por trás da Maglore. O acabamento estético de “Veroz” é um reflexo do diversificado conteúdo musical da banda. Fugindo de conceitos, trata-se de um disco de música essencialmente popular. Feito para se cantarolar no chuveiro, nas ruas – e nos shows! – é um conjunto de músicas diferentes entre si, que, contudo, remetem a uma identidade musical própria, seja pelas letras, pelos timbres de guitarra ou pela estrutura das próprias canções.
