Cidadão Quem é uma banda brasileira de rock. Surgiu em Porto Alegre, em meados de 1990, com formação original de Cau Hafner (bateria), Duca Leindecker (vocal e guitarra) e Luciano Leindecker (baixo). Seu nome é inspirado no filme Cidadão Kane, de Orson Welles. Seu primeiro show foi em maio de 1990, exatamente 49 anos após a primeira exibição do filme Cidadão Kane. Em 1991, a banda fica entre as finalistas do Rock in Rio 2, ultrapassando 368 bandas de todo o Brasil. Já participou de vários especiais para a RBS e foi revelação do jornal Zero Hora, tendo recebido o troféu Açorianos de melhor banda gaúcha em 1993, 1998 e 1999. Outras Caras, o primeiro CD da banda, foi lançado em 19932 , e teve mais de vinte mil cópias vendidas. Em junho de 1995, a banda iniciou as gravações de seu segundo CD em São Paulo, no estúdio Art mix, produzido por Luiz Carlos Maluly e finalizado em Los Angeles, no estúdio Castle Oaks, sendo mixado por Benny Faccione. Em maio de 1996, seu novo CD A Lente Azul foi lançado pela Polygram, tendo como música de trabalho Os Segundos, que entrou para a trilha sonora do seriado Malhação, da Rede Globo. Desse mesmo CD, foi gravado o clipe da música Balanço, que em 1997 foi lançado na MTV. Em novembro de 1998, a banda lançou Spermatozoon, seu terceiro CD, e que representou uma retomada ao espírito inicial do grupo, uma volta às raízes, à simplificação. O CD foi gravado em Porto Alegre e mixado e masterizado em Nova Iorque. Foi o primeiro CD do selo gaúcho Zoon Records, que além da Cidadão Quem também é selo de bandas como a Graforréia Xilarmônica. O CD teve como música de trabalho Um Dia, com clipe na MTV. Com mais de setecentos espetáculos em sua bagagem, a banda formada na virada da década de 1980, percorreu o Brasil, da Bahia ao Rio Grande do Sul, do Planeta Atlântida ao Rock in Rio, passando pelo Festival de Verão de Salvador. Em 7 de julho de 2004, no Theatro São Pedro de Porto Alegre, foram gravados o CD e o DVD da banda, em formato acústico e em duas sessões, com ingressos esgotados com 48 horas de antecedência da data do show. Este grande momento contou com as participações especiais de Humberto Gessinger (Engenheiros do Hawaii) e Mônica Tomasi. Este show em formato acústico foi uma releitura das principais músicas que fazem e fizeram sucesso na carreira da banda, como Carona, Os Segundos, A la Recherche, Pinhal e Ao Fim de Tudo, entre outras. A banda interrompeu suas atividades em 2008 quando o seu baixista Luciano Leindecker foi diagnosticado com mieloma múltiplo e teve de ser submetido a um transplante de medula óssea. Enquanto isso, Duca se junta a Humberto Gessinger, que havia anunciado a interrupção temporária das atividades dos Engenheiros do Hawaii, em um projeto intitulado Pouca Vogal, reunindo músicas inéditas escritas por Duca e Humberto, como também grandes sucessos das duas bandas. Its name is inspired by the movie Citizen Kane, Orson Welles. His first show was in May 1990, exactly 49 years after the first screening of the film Citizen Kane. O Godsmack teve início por volta de 1995, quando Sully Erna, um praticante da wicca, que já tocava bateria desde garoto, resolveu largar as baquetas e assumir o vocal. Para esse seu primeiro projeto como frontman, Sully chamou seus amigos Lee Richards (guitarra), Robbie Merril (baixo) e Tommy Stewart (bateria). Essa é a 1ª formação do Godsmack (nome supostamente retirado de uma música do Alice In Chains do álbum “Dirt”). O guitarrista Lee Richards resolve sair da banda por divergências musicais e em seu lugar entra Tony Rombola. Com Rombola, já começam a fazer algumas apresentações. Com ajuda de amigos conseguem gravar seu 1º CD independente chamado “All Wound Up” de 96. A banda emplaca singles como a forte “Keep Away” e a enigmática “Voodoo” com direto à video clipes. Em 2002 Godsmack perde seu baterista. Em seu lugar é rapidamente substituído por Shannon Larkin (ex-AMEN), que já participa das gravações do novo álbum, “Faceless”. Em 2004 excursionaram com Metallica e lançam o acústico The Other Side. Em 2007 foi lançado. Uma coleção “greatest hits” da banda de hard rock Godsmack. A coleção inclui todas as singles da banda, com exceção de “Bad Magick”, e um DVD de uma performance acústica da banda em Las Vegas no “The House of Blues” As influências principais da banda incluem as bandas Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Slayer, Metallica e Rush, de acordo com Sully Erna, Shannon Larkin e Tony Rombola. The Godsmack began around 1995, when Sully Erna, a practitioner of Wicca, who has played drums since boy, decided to drop the sticks and take vocal.
