No ano seguinte, ainda pela Universal, gravou o CD "Tá a fim de sambar", com o qual alcançou sucesso nacional, vendendo 240 mil cópias. Neste mesmo ano, a convite de Rildo Hora, participou do disco "Casa de samba 3", no qual junto com o grupo Os Originais do Samba, interpretou a faixa "O lado direito da Rua Direita", de Luis Carlos e Chiquinho, sucesso deste grupo nos anos 70. Em 1999, o grupo fez shows em Porto Alegre, Maceió, Fortaleza, Natal e Recife, além do Paraguai, onde também faz sucesso e lançou seu quinto CD: "Pode chegar", puxado pela faixa "Cordeirinho". No ano 2000, juntamente com outros artistas, o grupo participou do CD "Os melhores do ano II", no qual interpretou "Seu melhor amigo" e, ao lado de Leci Brandão, "Auto-estima". Sampa Crew é um grupo Brasileiro de R&B contemporâneo formado em 1987, pelo rapper, produtor e compositor J.C. Sampa, onde mais tarde se juntou aos cantores Ricardo Anthony, Júnior Vox, o DJ Alam Beat e os dançarino Guru e Ed Carlos. O grupo é conhecido pelo seu rap romântico e misturar os gêneros charme, funk melody, rap e soul em suas músicas. No final de 2008, o cantor Valtinho Jota recebeu um convite inesperado para integrar o grupo, onde fez parte por dois anos, e em 2010 deixou o grupo e seguiu carreira solo. Sampa Crew is a contemporary R & B Brazilian group formed in 1987 by rapper, producer and composer JC Sampa, where he later joined the singers Ricardo Anthony, Junior Vox, DJ Beat Alam and Guru dancer and Ed Carlos. The group is known for its romantic rap and mix the charm genres, funk melody, rap and soul in their music.
